Never thought I would be writing a review regarding a litter scoop. But this one deserves it. Have spent several efforts to locate a scoop that sits right in the hand and scoops up just the right amount of dirty litter, while letting the unsoiled litter fall through its slats back to the pan. This one does it perfectly. The openings are just the right amount to do this job. But the best thing about this scoop is the size of the scoop itself. Scoop manufacturers should not--repeat, should not-- make the width more than 5 INCHES. Why? Because there are many of us who still scoop into doggie-poop bags when the situation calls for it. Anything wider would NOT fit the standard size doggie poop bags. This scoop, with the scoop full of the dirty business, does the job. Its ergonomic handle is perfect. And if all this wasn't enough, the scoop comes with an elegant stand in a thankful cream neutral color to go with any decor. If you cement the stand to a heavy object (brick, etc) than you've hit the jackpot so the stand doesn't tip over. My rating: 5 STARS
It's very sleek, good looking , and a nice size. However, scooping wise it's not very sturdy, It's okay.
I love this scooper! It's lightweight and is curved a little to help with scooping the curved litter box. It's nice to use it and put it right in the holder which is not too big. Yes I just cracked it but I've had it for 3 years and scooped for 2 cats so I'd say it's well worth it. :)
I have had other scoopers, yes not as heavy duty, but the other scoops holes or slats way too wide that too much litter falls out! You just have to learn how to use so it won’t break. In 12 years I have broken 2 so way worth it as I have to keep picking up by front it’s a pain. I think this one is best by far
I give this a one only because it has a holder. However this scoop is rather flimsy. Anyone who scoops out litter knows some clumps can be stuck or heavy. This scoop bends and feels like it will snap while using it.
I had one of these scoops for several years, but the handle recently broke. I was glad to find a new one here. It's the perfect size, and the shape lets you get into the corners of the litter box. The holder is great, so you don't have to leave it just lying around.
I love the fact that it has its own storage stand but I found the scoop part a little too small and not curved on the sides enough. When cleaning the litter box, the waste and “urine balls” fall off quite often, making it take longer overall to clean the litter box.
I would not recommend this litter scoop. Maybe if you're first starting off with a kitten, but for an adult cat and with clay clumping litter, the plastic is too flimsy to deal with the scooping. It feels like it's going to break at any time when I use it.
Have two of these already, love them both. Needed another one. Plastic handle could be sturdier but I am careful not to place too much pressure so it doesn't crack.
It lasted 8 months, but one fine day in December it was unable to handle a (fairly average) clump, and the scoop bent right off the handle.
