How do you give know when to change filter please b specific also do you need to keep it running 24/7

The filters should be replaced every 2-4 weeks. It's recommended to disassemble the fountain and scrub the unit weekly to view the condition of the filter. The motor is attached directly to the wall plug, so unless you unplug the motor it will keep running.

Drinkwell is awesome if you have more than one cat or if you have an older cat

My older cat drinks constantly all day long, so the Drinkwell provides continuous water flow for at least a week or longer. It's very easy to clean and saves time!

Best Way to order these Filters

The local "brick and mortar" pet store no longer carries these filters, and even when they did, the filters were only available in 3-packs. The best way to get them is the box of 12 available from Chewy.

My kitty loves the DrinkWell water fountain!

So I've had this water fountain for several years, replaced it with the same model earlier this year. The carbon filters do a decent job of keeping debris out of the water and keep it circulating.

Great filters

These filters work very well in the cat water bowls they are designed for. I have used them for 25 years and my cats drink from these fountains all the time. My vet told me that older cats especially need to have filtered water as they will drink more if the water tastes good.

Pet Drinking Water Fountain

We have got other filters that fit the drinking fountain we have. There is no comparison to the Drinkwell Premium Replacement carbon Filter. We have 4 cats and they won't drink from a bowl, this is the best thing ever.

Like Fountain

I purchased a water fountain because my cat loves free-flowing water. I bought a large quantity of this filter, but didn't like how the water was slimy in a couple of days. I am now only buying the smaller bundle of filters and using bottled spring water. Seem to be working better.

Great Filter

I've used these for years in my Drinkwell pet fountain. They do a great job. My five cats and dog appreciate fresh running water from the fountain. I do change the filter every three weeks and rinse it well between changes. Highly recommend this product.
