Description

Keep you and your dog safe and comfortable on the grooming table with the PROGUARD Pet Products No-Sit Haunch Holder Dog Grooming Restraint. This professional-quality device holds your dog in place and keeps him from sitting down while being washed or trimmed. It’s extremely helpful in supporting the hindquarters of older, arthritic dogs, as well as dogs suffering from back or hip issues. Protect yourself as well by relieving the strain of trying to hold him up with one hand while grooming with the other. Simply slip the front padded loop over his neck, pass the rear padded loop under his belly, and attach the clip to a grooming table post to safely and securely keep him standing in comfort throughout the groom.

Key Benefits
  • Safely and effectively keep your dog standing in comfort while being groomed; great for older, arthritic dogs, as well as dogs suffering from back or hip issues.
  • Relieves muscle strain and fatigue for both you and your pet, and keeps him from moving around on the grooming table.
  • The rubber-coated steel-core cable and all-metal hardware is chew-proof, rust-proof and extremely durable.
  • Used by professional groomers; will not fray like nylon and will not absorb water, dirt or odor so it’s always clean, dry and ready to use.
  • Regular fits dogs up to 30 pounds with a 19-inch front loop and 22-inch rear loop; giant fits dogs up to 40 pounds with a 22-inch front loop and 25-inch rear loop.

    Does the job

By Jess on Jan 21, 2020

This item is smaller / shorter than I expected but I managed to get it to work for my 2 cocker spaniels and beagle. If you have a breed larger than this, this may not be the right product for you.

    Stand For Me

By Doggiegoddess on Dec 31, 2019

I am familiar with this tool having used it previously. Brushing out a squirmy pup is a lot easier, and safer, when the back end of the dog is also controlled. As soon as I train my dog to the table, this device will be getting a lot of use.

    Another Great Chewy Product

By Sandy on Apr 3, 2019

I love this grooming restraint. It is beautifully made, and strong enough to keep my strong willed terrier in place while she is getting groomed. Shipping is fast as lightning and I received it beautifully packaged. Thank you so much. You never disappoint.

    Several things wrong here.....

By Doodlemom on Feb 20, 2019

I bought this to provide additional safety for my dog while I groom her. However.... I will be returning it because... 1) It has a strong odor of tar, 2) the cables are very stiff, 3) the adjustable release grips to allow sizing are so hard to press that I cannot do it and my husband has a difficult time and must use both hands, 4) the no-sit holder rubber loop is separated into 2 pieces at the bottom and could easily pinch a dogs skin under the abdomen. I am a frequent and loyal customer of Chewy and rarely are their products unsatisfactory. This product is the exception.

Very pleased with the No-Sit Haunch Holder

By Marilyn on Feb 25, 2019

I actually just used this for the first time today and it works beautifully. I actually gave both dogs their haircuts and there's no way I would have dare to try that without. This was the perfect answer to make groomer much simpler.

Decent product. Doesn't work well for us

By ruthmom on Mar 22, 2019

Decent product. Doesn't work well for us. Our dog is long and short. She can still sit down. We'd need separate pieces for the front and back.

    Product smells like cheap perfume!

By Doogie on Nov 23, 2018

This cannot be used if your under 30 pound dog has short legs. To get the holder under my dog’s legs, I had to move the grooming table arm so low that the arm hits my head when I tried to use this holder. In addition, it smells horrible, strong, cheap perfume and the smell doesn’t come out. The hook is huge and barely clips onto my standard, expensive grooming table. This product is a complete waste of money. Awful product!

    I am no pro

    By RoyC on Nov 7, 2018 top1000Contributor

My dog tends to totally Panic if I try to cut her toenails which is why I got this. This is not good for a panicking dog but she does sit there and let me grind with the new Dremel that I bought. So the Dremel is working great and now this thing also worked okay to hold her steady so I don't have to only use one hand I can use to now. Funny how she won't let me cut them but she'll let me grind them.

    Reading is fundamental

    By UPplR2Funny on Oct 7, 2018

I don't even own a dog so don't ask me how I wound up here reading these reviews, but some of them are hilarious. Among my faves are the one complaining it's too small for a 55lb dog and the lady carrying on about this being a terrible bathing noose. How did these people who can't read manage to write a review? I agree that it's pretty ridiculous that the "giant" size only fits up to 40lbs, but that's what is very clearly stated here so why would you think it would fit your 55lb dog? And you gotta be pretty special to be so angry that a GROOMING restraint makes a terrible BATHING restraint. You people are funny.
