Questions & Answers

5 Customer Questions

Is this dishwasher safe for cleaning?

Answer by ChewyOct 03, 2024

Where is this manufactured?

Answer by ChewyNov 24, 2024
All of Outward Hound products are designed in Colorado USA. Most are manufactured in China by partners that they know and trust and a selection of their chew products & treats are made here in the USA.

Is this treat puzzle made with food grade plastics?

Answer by ChewyFeb 13, 2025
This puzzle is made with food grade plastic.

Can a small dog use this puzzle?

Answer by ChewyFeb 20, 2025
This toy is designed specifically for cats, so the size and structure are optimized for feline use. However, it is durable and sturdy enough to handle gentle play from small-breed puppies or dogs. If the dog tends to chew or be more aggressive with toys, a dog-specific puzzle feeder might be a better option, as those are often made with materials that are more suitable for canine play styles.

This is one of my favorite puzzle feeders so far, because there's so much to it in such a small footprint. She can move the "bones" out of the way, then open the little green compartments, then slide those compartments to find even MORE compartments. I also like that the design doesn't have any stickers, and it has aeration on the sides which really helps when trying to dry it after washing! I'm likely to be purchasing more puzzle feeders from this manufacturer!

I just started Gracie on hiding her treats in puzzles. So far this is one of my (her??) favorites. It takes her a while to move all the pieces to and fro to find her treats, and sometimes she gets rambunctious and tears the tops off, but she always manages to find then all. I like that it occupies her mind for a while and is somewhat challenging. She has come to stare at me every evening for her 'treat' puzzle to appear!

This cat puzzle treat toy is fantastic! It keeps my cats engaged, curious, and mentally stimulated while rewarding them with tasty treats. I love how it encourages slower eating and problem-solving instead of mindless snacking. The design is sturdy, easy to clean, and just challenging enough to hold their attention without causing frustration. Highly recommend for any curious kitty!

Size is perfect for my cat. She is an extremely gentle and careful cat. Other puzzles require more aggressiveness so she looses motivation to access the treats in difficult areas. The hinges and sliding mechanism on this puzzle are easy for her to manipulate. She can get into the spots and scoop out her treats with ease. She gets so excited when I bring this out!

I love the puzzles from this brand because of the different levels in each toy. I like to give it to them and take it away for a few weeks. It’s like a brand new puzzle when I reintroduce them to it. I also have the lady bug puzzle. Works best with really smelly treats.

We adopted a 9 yr old female cat. Not sure if she ever had a toy like this. She seems to like it, hasn’t figured out how to slide the little hinged boxes so that she can find the treats underneath. We are playing in a basic level and she will get better eventually.
