I have two pit bulls with severe allergies. Especially in the fall. One of my dogs was losing all of her hair, severe dandruff, and had red nasty patches on her belly. I decided to give this a try and we are only on the second treatment, and her fur is shiny and the dandruff is gone in under two weeks. Her fur is also growing back. My other dog broke out in these weird hives and he seems to be doing a little better too. They are also on a fish diet and gluten-free grains. I highly recommend this item. Everything I have purchased from the vet has not worked along with Cytopoint shots. But I’ve had to really also clean up their diet too. Great stuff!!!!!
I admit I was skeptical when purchasing, but boy, was I proven wrong! As others have said, be patient, it will pay off. Our female Shepherd had numerous bald spots from itching and chewing, and I doubted I would ever see her with a full coat again, until treating her with Dermoscent. We noticed hair starting to grow back shortly after only the second dose (2nd week), and it's only gotten better with each passing week. The smell is strong at application, but it's not offensive and dissipates quickly. Tonight will be our 6th dose, and not only is hair visible in all the areas previously bald, but she is itching and chewing so much less, we actually sleep at night now! Highly recommend, and will continue to use this product.
We've used this for years with our beagle and white pit bull. Started at the recommendation of our veterinary dermatologist as part of a total plan (testing, diet changes and prevention). We found it to be an essential part of the long-term control of our dogs' battles with yeast and skin allergies. Highly recommend, but be ready to give it time to see results.
Have used this as directed, and both dogs, each mixed breed, have been sick each time after use. Eating grass and general unwell. One dog has dark red skin at the application site each time. The smell is not unpleasant. Their coat was nice after the oil started working. The trade-off of the dogs being sick or having skin irritations was not worth it for our family.
I adopted my dog from the local shelter. She was so miserable and itchy. She would lick nonstop. We thought it was allergies. Turns out she is not only insulin dependent diabetic, but now blind too. I digress.. lol I started noticing after her glucose stabilized, she wasn't scratching as much, but the dandruff and fur loss was terrible! The vet told me to try this stuff. It's been one month and she even has fur between her toes now! Her belly is all furry where there we're dark hairless patches. She doesn't lick, scratch, rub her face or anything anymore. I literally noticed an improvement in 48 hours of initial treatment. So much so that I called to happily tell the vet. Now- you have to understand we live in Arizona- it's JUNE and she's GROWING FUR, not shedding! That's an amazing thing. Only downside is she smells like a hamster cage the first day =) She is a mastiff, great dane and pitty mix and weighs 100 lbs. The large dog dose is perfect. I'm going to try to use a little less often to save on cost... maybe 3 times a month.
My Golden Retriever is affected with the skin disorder Ichthyosis and this really helps.
My dog has been on low dose prednisone for almost a year for an autoimmune disorder and it has caused thinning of his hair and dry flaky skin. I’ve applied this product to him once a week for 8 weeks and I see noticeable improvement! His skin is not as dry and itchy and his coat is looking healthier and shiny again! He doesn’t seem to mind when I apply the product. I think it smells good and it’s easy to apply. I’m grateful for finding an all natural option to help my dog’s skin. We will be continuing to use this every other week moving forward.
Noticed a difference in my dogs coat after the 1st dose.
Did not help my senior dog
3 viles in and onto the 4th one and already see improvement on my shihtzus coat. He was shedding excessively and now those patches are getting their fur back. Plus his coat looks healthier and shiny. Thanks to my vet for recommending this.
