Wanting to get this, read the directions will apply one Pipette but where do I apply it to on my dogs body? She is prone to yeast and itches a little, also does shed a lot so will this be good for her, or unnecessary?
Answer by ChewyDec 06, 2018
Per the directions, application should be done at the base of the neck in between the shoulder blades. This is made to help with dry, greasy, flaky and oily skin. It should relieve these symptoms if they are being caused by yeast.

What if dog likes off? Will it mark the sofa when laid on?
Answer by ChewyMar 03, 2018
When applied as directed, between the shoulders there's absolutely no risk of the pet licking it off. Dermoscent spot-on products do not need to be applied on several points. One should avoid the pet from getting on furniture right away, in order not to run any risk of staining any furniture upon application prior to the complete absorption of the product.

My dog is over 100 pounds can he still use this on him ?
Answer by ChewyOct 14, 2020
This treatment is designed and formulated for dogs weighing between 45-90 pounds. It is not recommended for a pet outside of that weight range.

Has anyone tried this to help out allergy- flea dermatitis ?
Answer by ChewyJun 14, 2019
This treatment is intended to remedy kerato-seborrheic disorders and atopic dermatitis. It helps heal dry, flaky, oily or greasy skin.

Hotspots and allergies

My 2 year old long hair Akita, has always suffered with severe allergies, leading into hotspots all over. I read all the reviews for this product and was a little skeptical to say the least, but I'm willing to try anything for my furbaby. I put this on him at nighttime and was expecting a bad smell from the reviews. Well the smell reminds of of tea tree oil and isn't horrible, the next morning I woke up and checked on his chest and stomach, like I do every day, only to find out all his hotspots were scabbed over and within days the scabs were falling off and he was a happy dog again. We are going onto week 3 and have only had one small scab, when typically we would have to wipe him down daily with hyperallegentic soap daily,, use creams and oral meds. I recommend this already to my Daughter and will definitely be ordering again.

Great for Golden Retriever Ichthyosis

This product is a miracle worker. The smell is strong but smells natural not “chemical” and after a day she smells wonderful! Joy is an English Cream Golden Retriever with Ichthyosis, a hereditary skin disorder where the skin can not rejuvenate, turns black and causes extreme flaking. This product helps major flare ups and controls it from happening. She does still flake but no where near as what it is without using this product. If you have a dog with this skin disorder this is a MUST to be added to your regimen of the care they need with having this! Highly recommend this!

Not a fan of this

Our dog was having skin issues so this was suggested to us. Broke open the first tube and applied as directed. This smell is extremely strong and offensive to say the least. We couldn't stand it around the house and I felt bad for our dog who's nose is a lot more sensitive than ours so we quickly bathed her and washed as much as we could off to get rid of the smell. We donated the rest to our vet. I would not recommend this to others. Changed shampoos and using vitamin E oil in foods now instead.

Improved dry skin and no yeast overgrowth!

My dog suffered from dry and flaky skin, and his coat always smelled yeasty. Using this topically once a week for several weeks, along with the Hylyte shampoo baths, have fixed his skin entirely. No dandruff, no itching, and no smell. This topical smells amazing too! I highly recommend this for any dog that has dry or itchy skin.

Didn’t work

I read all of the reviews and decided to buy two months supply to give it a good shot and it just did not work at all for my dog. I noticed no difference after two months use exactly like the directions said and it also has a very strong odor. I’m happy it worked for some pets but for me it was just a waste of money.

Groomer recommend

I am a grooming for over 25 years so I have plenty of experience with skin issues that just can’t be resolved. Well when my puppy started having itching & licking problems I had a vet tech friend recommended this. After a few days of applying it all of her skin problems stopped! I have been using it over a month & I am still happy with the results!

It actually works

I've only applied this twice to my dog and she isn't scratching as much. She was literally scratching every few seconds and I tried everything and nothing worked!! I'm pretty happy so far... She still scratches but drastically less and I've only applied it twice.

finally, my puppy's skin is healed!

My dog developed dry seborrheic dermatitis after a bout of mange. He was tormented by itchiness, and the skin on his back and flanks was crusted with big scales and dandruff. He had about 50% hair loss in those areas. I tried everything - medicated baths, lotions and ointments. Finally, I found a recommendation for this produce and bout it. My dog has had three skin oil treatments now a week apart and his skin is nearly fully healed! The crusts and scales are gone, hair is growing back and he has stopped scratching. I am so impressed by this product.

Finally! A product that helps my dog's skin issues.

My poor dog has had skin issues for over six years. We started out with Apoquel which helped for awhile. Then Citopoint shots which also worked for awhile. My vet liked the $$ as both are expensive about $130 a month. I started to research to find something that wasn't so chemical and found this. We are having great luck and am now on our second months of treatment. My guy is an 11 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who weighs 90 lbs.
