Is this toy chew proof or indestructible?
Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off. Not recommended for chew sessions.
Where are the rubber treat dispensers made?
Frisco rubber treat dispensers are made in the USA with global sourced materials.
This treat dispenser is made of natural rubber.
It's recommended to hand wash these toys in warm soapy water. However, these are top-rack dishwasher safe.
A variety of treats are compatible with the rubber treat dispensers, including but not limited to crunchy biscuits, soft and chewy treats, freeze dried snacks, and even peanut butter. Keep in mind that depending on the size of your treats, they may need to be broken into smaller pieces first.
I had high hopes for this treat dispenser based on the reviews, but my dog just didn't like it. She has other treat dispensing balls that she loves, but it has become too easy for her to get the treats out. I shove full milk bone treats into the other balls and she gets them out within 20 minutes and then wants me to refill them. I thought this dispenser would be a little more difficult for her, but she couldn't get anything out of this one! Even though this toy is considered medium/large, the holes are so tiny that the only thing I can imagine working in it is small kibble. This dispenser is hard rubber with no give, and even broken up treats won't fall out of it, so I don't know how other dogs are able to get anything out. My dog played with this for about an hour when I first gave it to her, but since she couldn't even get crumbs out she gave up on it and hasn't touched it since. It seems to be high quality rubber that will hold up to tough chewing, but it just didn't work for us.
Fantastic! My sick and aged dog was able to sit and play with this for ages! Tiny or broken-up treats of all kinds fit it and the challenge to the pup is just about right. Love it!
This is a great treat dispensing puzzle that keeps my dog busy on rainy days. It is heavy rubber, so maybe not great if you have anyone living downstairs from you. I like that you don't need special treats (so far I've only used small ones, anything larger would be cruel!) and it's easy to wash by hand right after using
My pitbull chews through almost everything except for an extra strength black Kong. This has held up almost just as well! Very impressed with the durability so far. I fill it with yogurt, pumpkin, organic baby food, etc. and freeze. This keeps her busy for a solid 30 minutes. Also great to stuff with treats as it is very hard to get some treats out and keeps her busy and occupied. Though I have had to get some treats out manually with pliers if it's too hard. Would 100% buy this again, in fact just bought one from the same brand in the shape of a pumpkin so I am hoping it is just as durable!
I bought this on a "buy 2 get 1 free" sale, and it's the best thing I've ever bought. I use it like a kong and freeze kibble/dog safe veggie and fruit in it for nighttime enrichment. Watching my puppy carry around and play with a UFO is absolutely hilarious! I only buy black kongs for my heavy chewer, and this is holding up just as well. Best impulse buy ever!
We now have 3 of these toys. They are super tough! Our one dog who destroys EVERY toy, cannot and has not destroyed this one! We use this for feeding time. It helps to slow down our quick eaters and engages them for a while. Highly recommend!
My Airedale had this for less than 5 minutes before she had it chewed into 2 pieces. She loved the challenge, however...
It's been a few weeks now, and my pit bull has not been able to chew pieces off - I am impressed!
I cannot give this to my dog. It smells sooooo toxic. I thought the smell would eventually dissipate but a couple of months later and it's still awful. The smell makes me sick.
I'm sure it's a durable toy, but it doesn't dispense kibble well. I was hoping it would be better.
