I was disappointed when I first saw these toys out of the package--they're much smaller than I pictured them being. (My bad for not reading the product description.) That said, my kittens absolutely love them and have played with them ceaselessly since they arrived. They don't hold a coil but you can easily re-coil them by winding around your finger. They do get chewed up pretty quickly, though. But that doesn't seem to affect their appeal, and I figure they're inexpensive enough to just replace periodically.
My cat loves the Swattin' Springs
on Oct 8, 2021
My handsome rescued cat never has been interested in any toy I have purchased for him. It has bothered me that I could not find a toy he would play with for even a minute! Well, the Swattin' Springs are a winner with Oliver. He will play with it, swat it around and stretch it out. I curl it around my finger & he goes after it again. I have so much fun with watching him get so animated with it. I will let him play with one or two & I do put them up after he tires of playing with them. This is my second package for him.
Not a great toy

This is simply felt, with a wire inside. My cats show little interest in them. If stepped on, they flatten out, but are easy to reshape. My cats prefer the plastic coil springs.Since mine like twisty ties, I thought they would like these. Oh well, each cat has their preference for types of toys.
Kittens loooooove these
on Sep 25, 2021
I got these for my 3 month old kittens a month ago and they're still loving them. They stretch them out of shape, and catch them onto things, but never get tired of swatting them across wood floors and rugs. They like them whether they're mishaped or wound up again which you can easily do around your finger.

My cat is indoor/outdoor so she’s a hunter. She throws these toys everywhere. She loves chasing them and using all four paws and teeth to pull them straight. I just coil them around my finger and they are ready for another play session. I’m buying more.
Makes even old cats play
on Aug 16, 2021
I got these for my kitten, he had previous claimed some weatherstripping that he would drag around and chew on. I thought from the picture these would be larger than they are. They are fairly short and I found drawing them out into a few larger curls instead of small had my cats playing more. What surprised me is my older cat who typically doesn't play with anything will play with these. She walks around dragging one and meowing while doing it. That being said I noticed one was coming unglued, inside the colorful flat part appears to be a pipe cleaner. I will likely not buy these again and instead just get pipe cleaners for my cats to enjoy.
So Simple Yet Awesome

The amount of playtime this inexpensive set of simple toys has brought my cat is crazy. She is obsessed! We bend them into different shapes or twist them to attach to other toys. Endless entertainment for her. Highly recommend.
Another kitty favorite

I wasn't sure if my cat would go for something that's just a curly wire thingy but she loves it. She will play with this on her own (supervised). This one was a winner and I can easily see buying these again.
Kittens like it until they stretch it out
on Sep 15, 2021
Initially my foster kittens loved these. However, they were able to stretch them out very quickly and then the toy didn't move in the same way as when it was spiraled and so didn't interest them anymore. I can re-curl them but they get pulled straight pretty quick.
Your Cat Wants These
on Aug 1, 2021
I got a packet of these last week, and they instantly became THE prized cat toy to the point where one kitten has gotten possessive when he has one.
If your cat likes twist ties, these are a safer version: they've got a tooth/claw tough sheath covering, bright colors that make them easy to find under furniture, and to put them back in spring shape, they can be coiled around your finger (but they'll get bent out of shape again in 30 seconds).
I don't think you can go wrong with these springs.
