  • Hill's Prescription Hypo-Treats

    By on

My Shepherd was placed on the Hill's z/d dog food in late 2017 & I had to remove him from all forms of regular food & treats. His Vet recommended Hill's Hypo-Treats & he loves them. His Vet gave me a prescription and that's when I became a Chewy.com customer. I've had the best & quickest service from Chewy. So easy and pleasant. Very friendly, appreciates my business & always ready to assist. I have ordered other items as well, non-prescription, and found their prices are comparable with the same great service, especially fast shipping.

  • Requires a prescription

This treat requires your vet to confirm that your dog can use these. The treats are large and hard to bite, so I would not recommend them for small dogs or puppies even though it is considered "safe" for them. I found the dog likes them better if I break them up. As for the food sensitivity, I have not used them long enough to tell whether it will help.

  • Good, most times

    By on

This is a product which we regularly order. We have received bags of these treats that were misshapen, but still edible for our dogs. However, this last order contained 3 bags of this product that were extremely hard. We had to use a very sharp knife to split the treats in pieces, then soak the treat so our dogs could eat them.

  • Excellent product but pricey

    By on

My one-year-old golden retriever has a food intolerance to chicken, so is now on a diet of hydrolyzed food and treats. No more problems with diarrhea. She absolutely LOVES these treats, but I dropped a star due to the high price. I will continue to buy them though since she loves them so much.

  • Expensive Rocks

My dog Opie who has HGE loved these until they "changed the packaging". I could break them for him. I have an old bag and the ingredients have changed and now they require a hammer to break and Opie is no longer enamored with them. Extremely disappointed as he is very limited.

  • Gus loves them

    By on

After the vet suggested a food trial for my dog Gus who is six, I felt guilty because he loves his treats and didn’t know what I was going to do during the 6 to 8 week trial. The vet did not have these treats but I saw that chewy.com did and got my vet to approve a script for them. They are quiet hard and large for him, he is 50 lbs. I was able to cut them in half with a knife though.

  • Pricey but worth it so far...

    By on

Our retriever 1 yr old...who we have nickednamed the Hoover money pit has a terrible time with regurgitation and vomiting (of course she ate a minuscule amount of sago palm and almost died!) So far she has had no further problem! We have been removing all poisonous plants for dogs from our property... no small feat

  • My picky dog actually ate these

    By on

With her very bad belly, I now only buy these treats for her (along with the low fat science diet dog food). Although she would rather have her human food treats, these are the best for her and she does eat them, or hides them for later.

  • Dog snacks

    By on

My dog has a lot of stomach issues, and gets nauseous with just about all dog food and snacks. These snacks were recommended by our Vet. My dog absolutely loves these snacks and she does not even get sick with them.
