This solution can be given at home as necessary and your veterinarian can teach you the proper administration technique.

How is this medication given?

Lactated Ringers is an injectable liquid that can be given under the skin (subcutaneously) or in the vein (intravenously) as prescribed by your veterinarian. Your veterinarian will determine the proper amount of fluid and route administration that is best for your pet so always follow his/her instructions. If you have trouble giving this medication or if you do not understand the directions, contact your veterinarian. If you forget to give a dose, try to give it as soon as you remember but do not give two doses at once. Your veterinarian may instruct you and teach you how to give Lactated Ringers at home. In Stock Good Price

    By on

My cat has chronic renal failure, so I've relied on different sources to purchase LRS through the years. I was happy see Chewy had LRS in stock and reasonably priced. I received it right away once Chewy confirmed the prescription with my vet. I'll always get LRS from Chewy from here on out.

One bag was faulty and had a leak

    By on

Not the best, but okay. I bought three bags, but one had a tear and leaked out. Once I realized the issue was how think the bag was when inserting the infusion set, it didn't happen again.

Half the price of my vet

    By on

My dog is in renal failure and needs fluids twice per day. My vet charges double this price! This LR is a professionally packaged product with no difference from my vets. My vet suggests Chewy for many of my prescriptions, too.

    Quick Action By Chewy

    By on

Our dog was in a crisis on a Saturday when I ordered the solution. I called Chewy customer service and asked that they contact the vet promptly since a weekend was coming up. They did and the item shipped on Monday, quicker than I could have gotten at any other company.

    Great service and good price.

My usual ordering site was out of stock and unhelpful. My 18 year old cat with CKD needs this daily. Chewy was in stock and very helpful. Will keep using Chewy.

Thrilled to find these at Chewy

    By on

Was really happy to find these at such a good price and in the 1000 ml bags. My boy has been on daily fluids for the past four years due to chronic renal failure and it's often been a roller coaster ride finding a reliable source with good pricing. I've had to use 500 ml bags for some time now and am really glad to have the 1000 ml again. Thanks Chewy!

    no instructions

    By on

i have had been using these ringers for 2 years and these were the 1 st time I rreceieved with complicated rubber openings and diffferent angles with a piece of rubber hanging that stopped the iv administration going in properly so it leaked half the bag not satisfied that there was no instruction for this particular unusual insertion genre .

Was going to run out of Lactated Ringers today. Was afraid that the order would not arrive on time, but it came just in time - only four days in transit. I am very pleased and will continue to give Chewy my trust.

    Economical and convenient

    By on

Our 16yo cat has CKD and requires subq fluids three times per week. It is more economical to order the iv fluid through chewy than our vet, especially when we go through bags so quickly. Be sure to order the needles and tubing required - sold separately (the fluids do not come with those necessary items).
