As if mealtimes couldn’t get any better for your hungry pooch, the Premium Slow-Feed Bowl from OurPets helps your BFF slow down and savor. Designed to stand up to even the big boys, this bowl is made from a high-quality, heavy-duty stainless steel and specifically crafted to prevent gobbling and scarfing. This can help to improve digestion and nutrient absorption. There’s a permanently molded rubber ring at the base which prevents sliding on slick surfaces and reduces noise while your pet enjoys his meal. And it’s super easy to clean, with either a trip through the dishwasher or some warm and soapy water.

I bought this bowl hoping it would fit in my dog's elevated feeding dish. It did not, but I placed it in the dish that came with the elevated platform and that works quite well. This dish just needs that little lip, in order for it to be the perfect solution.
By the way, I was hoping to slow the gobbling, gulping, of food by my young pup. It does help a little bit. I had purchased the "gobble stopper" previously, he thought it was a chew toy... no good.
Great for My Dog

My dog used to chow down food like it was nobody's business. However, after using some plastic slow feeders (with intricate designs), she stopped that terrible habit and eats normally (I can even leave the food out for her and keep the bowl full without her over-eating). I switched to these bowls at the reccomendation of my vet. They are easier to clean and stainless steal harbors fewer germs. My pup was getting acne and blackheads from the plastic bowls, but it's cleared up now that her bowls are stainless steel. I even still clean them once a week like I did with the plastic ones. My only warning is for pet owners with fast eaters. The shape of this will not stop small and medium-sized dogsMy dog used to chow down food like it was nobody's business. This bowl is perfect. It holds ample dry food for our large breed dog, slows his eating with the center bump and the non-skid on the base of the bowl keeps it in its place when he eats. Easy to clean. We now use these for all our pups.
Works like a champ!

My "grandpuppy" attacked his food like a rabid wolverine! We knew that because he is going to be very large, (he's 21 pounds at 4 months), he needed to slow down to avoid swallowing a lot of air. I got him this dish and it worked like a champ!
Finally the right bowl!!

First off I mix dry and wet food so I am sure that makes a difference when is comes to speed and clean up.
I have tried 3 other types of slow feeders. Two were plastic, one other was stainless steel. Two were just too complicated design wise.
I thought this would be too easy and my dog would still eat too fast. I was pleasantly surprised that was not the case. Plus it’s easier to clean.

I bought this for my 50 pound Great Pyrenees mix. It slowed her down a little more than her regular bowl did but she still inhales her food. I bought this one because it fits in the elevated single bowl stand that I bought from Chewy. If I didn’t use the stand I probably would have bought a slow bowl that is more of a maze look than this one.

My lab eats very fast. I got this bowl to help her slow down and it slows her down a little. She still gulps a lot but it is better than a regular bowl.

I love chewy products but I'm not happy with this slow feeder bowl. It doesn't slow him down at all. I liked his last one. It looked like a maze. The only problem with it was it was a hard plastic and he chewed on it and busted off sharp pieces. I was afraid he would hurt himself. So I started looking for a stainless steel one and found this. It doesn't work.
Slows Down Mealtime Gulping

Nice, well constructed bowl, with a good weight to it. Not heavy but not going to go blowing in the wind either. It’s well designed and not flimsy in the least! Has a non-skid ring around bottom, which keeps it stable and not moving around while feeding. We purchased 2 small and 1 medium. We ended up being like the three bears...We hoped the small would fit a feeding stand we have, they do just a tiny bit small, and medium was too big...regardless we felt they were well worth it!

We rescued a toy poodle. She gobbles down her food so fast that it was causing some loud belching and bloating. We feed her Honest Kitchen dehydrated raw and the solid construction of this bowl is perfect. It slows her down and the belching is softer. I purchased another bowl that had removable pieces and realized it would not work. I called Chewy's AWESOME customer service and Isabell helped me find the perfect slow-feeder. I wanted a stainless steel solid bowl. Thank you CHEWY and Isabell! xoxo
