Can this pump be taken aprt and cleaned like some of their other pumps?

This pump may be cleaned. Take the pump apart by first removing the faceplate. Remove the teardrop shaped stator by pulling up on the small lip. Use a fingernail to pull out the impeller, which is held in place magnetically. Clean the pump parts with warm water and soap, then reassemble.
What’s the minimum water level that this will be able to pump? Does it suck from the bottom or side?

The minimum water level will vary depending on which fountain the pump is used with. This pump is used with the Drinkwell 360 (stainless steel and plastic), Pagoda, Avalon, Seascape, Multi-Tier, Zen, and Sedona Fountains. The pump will need to be completely submerged to be operational. The intake for the pump is on the side, and it pumps from the top.
Could you please tell me the dimensions of the pump. I need a small pump that is about 2 INCHES BY 2 INCHES.

This pump is approximately 1 7/8 inches in length and 1 1/4 inches wide.
Will this work with the drinkwell mini plastic dog and cat fountain

This replacement pump is compatible with the Drinkwell Multi-Tier Pet Fountain, Drinkwell 360 Plastic Pet Fountain, Drinkwell 360 Stainless Steel Pet Fountain, Drinkwell Zen Pet Fountain, Drinkwell Stoneware Avalon Pet Fountain, and Drinkwell Pagoda Pet Fountain.

Does not last

I purchased this replacement pump in April 2022 and it did not even last a year. I maintain the fountain weekly and replace the filters as scheduled. It is disappointing that I need to purchase a new one already.

Dead Motor

I have been using the water fountain since 2019. We have three fountains, and the motors that came with the original fountains last over a year. In 2021, the replacements worked fine. It was dead after a few months. However, in 2022, the replacement quality dropped terribly. From March to now, five motors died after the cleaning. Two of them were only used for a month! We follow the instructions to clean the fountain and the motors. We even did not open the motor to clean the inside. We only use the sponge to wash the surface of the motors, but they will not work after the cleaning. The motor is not cheap (getting more and more expensive)! The quality should not be this bad. We expect a motor to last longer than one use! Please ensure that your products have good quality instead of stealing money from your customers!

Your cats will drink!

I bought a beautiful Drinkwell Ceramic Fountain, my cats now drink!! So much more. It is easy to use and clean. I always keep a,replacement pump or two on hand just in case. I've replaced only 2 in 3 years, I think that is great for this 24/7 workhorse! Well worth it!!

Doesnt last

This pump lasted 3 months. It is the 2nd one i bought. When you spend nearly $100 on a fountain you would expect you wouldnt have to replace the pump in 3 months. Very agitated

Minimal Longevity

This only lasted 4 months. Generally I have to replace these motors about once per year. This one I thought would last longer because I actually cleaned it as recommended...NOT

You have to clean it REALLY well to work

You have to take it apart and clean it. Really nasty stuff gets in there if you don't, and you don't want your kitties drinking that. I take a skewer to really get into the tiny parts to clean (scrubbing alone won't do).

Works great, glad it's available

This pump works great and even though it took a slight adjustment to thread the wire through the plastic hood, we are very happy that this replacement part is available for sale. We had the original pump for about 3 years and pumps do wear out so it's really nice and much more sustainable to be able to order a replacement rather than buy a whole new fountain.

Not impressed

This is the second pump I'm purchasing in 5 months. Quality is terrible. The original pump that came with the Drink Well filter lasted 2 years!

5 month life

We received it on May 28th and I assume that we installed right after that. However it died and now we need to order another one. I'm disappointed.................
