Puppia Mountaineer II Coat Dog Harness, Black, Small: 14.2-in chest

This coat is very convenient with the built in harness & zipper up the back. That was my purpose for purchasing it. It is well made, though wish they had removable hoods & there were toggles at the back to form fit in turn giving a tighter fit at the back. Sizing as others have said is poorly done. My 13lb. Shih tzu fit into a medium (red per photo) no problem, however, it was too small for my 16lb. Shih tzu . I had to reorder a large (blue per photo)which is snug. If his fur gets a bit longer, it won’t fit. I had to also purchase the X-large coat for when his fur is longer. That size on him is very generous. Quite a variation in difference in sizes. M-16.5 chest, large-goes up 2”to a 18.9” chest, then a bigger jump to almost 4”” on the Xl-22.8”. My dogs are nice & warm on our walks, albeit turned out to be rather expensive Christmas gifts.

Easy to slip on, easy to zip, and doesn't mat my long-haired dog. Looks great, too! We followed the advice of other reviewers and the helpful Customer Support rep at Chewy and ordered a Large (18.9-inch chest). Our boy measures 17" around the chest, 14" from collar to tail, and only weighs 13 lbs. (He usually wears a dog-size 14 or small/medium depending on sizing). The coat leaves lots of room around the front legs for comfort, yet it's perfectly snug around the chest to zip up comfortably. It reaches all the way to his tail but doesn't sag, block, or interfere with going potty. Pictures below!

Just received in the mail, within 3 days of ordering. My mini schnauzer weights about 8lbs max and wears a medium. Definitely measure before ordering, the length is perfect, neck size is perfect, the chest is snug but there is no way I would order a larger size. There is a qr code to scan but the app is not available in the Google Play store, I get an error whenever is scans. The inside is fleece and the outside is polyester. It is handwash or dry clean only.

This little coat fits my Yorkie-poo foster dog perfectly! I tried a number of coats from another vendor and ended up returning them all. They just didn't fit properly even though I measured my little one carefully. The coat is warm and water resistant and has the added feature of a built in harness. No more threading a leash through a hole. Milo weighs approximately 18 pounds. I purchased the XL because this is a little dog coat. Milo and I are very pleased with our purchase
