    Perfect dosing and lifter pump

    By on

This pump is perfect for dosing kalk, medications and keeping a siphon going on box overflows. Since putting this thing on my box overflow, I haven't had to worry about the siphon break any more, and I'd even tested it by blowing bubbles into the overflow- siphon re-established in a minute or so, even though this thing's head is maxed out at the current 30". Good product. High quality. Feels solid. Might need a couple more of these! Plus, Chewy's shipping and customer service are top notch. Can't complain at all.

    Great little pump

    By on

I bought one of these pumps about 5 years ago. It recently started showing signs of sucking air internally. So I bought a new one. I use it as my top-off pump. It will draw water out of my 5 gallon DI water container with ease and push it over to my sump. I wired a float level switch to the power cord. Pump only draws 3 watts so it won't over power the float reed switch and burn the contacts shut. I never have to worry about my top-off system. Just change my 5 gallon DI water container about once per week.

    Necessary Evil

    By on

These pumps are a necessary evil if you are running a CPR overflow box on your aquariums. The pumps don't last long before needed repaired or replaced, but are necessary to keep the suction and flow of the overflow box working effectively. Fortunately, Chewy has always had them in stock and at a fair price; and you can't beat Chewy's fast shipping!

    Couldn't ask for more

The city water where I live has very high levels of chlorine in it and it was killing fish left and right. Once I switched to using bottled water, all was right in my tank again. Unfortunately, this left me with no easy way to temperature match the water I was refilling with. I was getting huge temperature swings and would prefer to minimize stress so I bought this little pump to refill the tank gradually. The good news: It works perfectly! It is a little slower than advertised but that's fine by me. It's super quiet and easy to use. Temperature only varies by about 3-4 degs, as opposed to 10+ degs. The even better news: My substrate doesn't get disturbed at all when refilling The city water where I live has very high levels of chlorine in it and it was killing fish left and right. Great versatile little pump

    By on

I've had this pump for a while now. I don't have it in daily use, rather I have used it for for acclimation (loosely loop your outgoing hose), adding different nutrients, anything that needs a slow, steady drip or stream. I've even used it to slowly raise salinity when needed. I don't have the hang-on attachment, but I haven't had any issues with finding somewhere on my lid to put it while in use.

Died after about 1 hour of use. Did the job for the hour, but I expect a little better lifespan

    Great dosing pump

With 2 airline outlets you can use both separately or with a T connector for a little more pumping power without the use of flow regulator!

    If you need it

Get the pre filter for the lifter and will last a lot longer. They do work.

    It Works as expected.

    By on

After my purchase I tested the pump for my overflow and it works great. As it's new I have no idea how long it's going to last. The price point seems spot on at around $15. Happy customer.
