will this work on my 5lb Pomerian the size 3 was the smallest one
Do you measure at the tip of their nose or the base closer to their eyes. We have a golden retriever and a beagle that we want something to stop them from eating poop. Weve already tried the poop pills. Thank you

To locate the sizing chart, click on the 'Size' tab for further details. To find the best fit for your pet, it is recommended to measure your pets snout circumference measurement. To measure the circumference, you must measure around the snout while the mouth is slightly open (dog panting).
Can they drink with this on?

The size 3 muzzle fits a nose circumference measuring 5 inches, the size 4 muzzle fits a nose circumference measuring 6 inches, the size 5 muzzle fits a nose circumference measuring 7 inches, the size 6 muzzle fits a nose circumference measuring 8 inches and the size 7 muzzle fits a nose circumference measuring 9.5 inches.

Waiting to try it out

The muzzle appears to be very sturdy. Unfortunately my shih tzu, who is a nipper, is currently recovering from a double ear infection. I do not want to further stress her out during her recovery. I will bring the muzzle with me to her ear recheck appointment later this month and try it out with assistance at that time. I hope it works.

Adjustable mesh dog muzzle

I prefer the mesh muzzle over all the others especially living in Florida. I have been using this brand since I was a puppy upsizing as I grow. I bring it with me to the vets office since I don't like shots or toenails clipped grrrr. I'm a pomsky with a very short nose.

Why stop at suze 7?

I ordered this muzzle for my bull mastiff because of the good reviews, but wasn't sure if the largest size Chewy offers (size 7) would fit him. But decided to try it anyway. I got it yesterday and sure enough it's very tight and I'm sure uncomfortable for him but looking at the package I see there are three larger sizes they manufacture. A size 8 would've been perfect for my Socrates. There's even a size XL!! How come Chewy doesn't sell it? I'd love to buy another to fit him properly.

Not a good fit

Fit is tight under eyes and loose at the mouth. Not working for my pup. I need something to prevent him from eating things off the ground. Still looking. He's been to vet too many times for being a scavenger.

Great device for anxious activities

My elderly dog HATES to get her nails trimmed. It’s an all out free for all so I usually send her to the vet which costs aplenty. After eyeing this little number, I thought why not try it? Well I strapped it on her (not too tight) and got through a quick trim better than we ever have!!!! It’s okay to muzzle if it’s for a specific job I think. I would never muzzle for more than a few minutes out of respect and love for my animal.

Check size!

I will get in line with the other reviews that had a problem with the size of the muzzle. My dog's nose (circumference) measures 9.25 inches but this size 7 muzzle is way too large. I would not recommend buying this unless you are lucky enough to have access to an actual muzzle to try on. Chewy is great about returns and refunds. Too bad the maker/distributer of the muzzle has let Chewy down on this item.
