Great Toy for Playful Pups
I bought two so that I could have both my dogs with one treat ball each. The treat ball is pretty tough. They roll is around, pick it up with their mouth and and I'm surprised it hasn't bent or anything.
Love it and hate it
My 2.5 yo lab loves this treat ball. He eats almost all his meals out of it. I feed him Royal Canin Labrador Retriever and it is a rather large kibble. I have trouble finding toys that have large enough holes to dispense the larger kibble. The reason for the low stars is I am about to purchase my 3rd one only because he loves it so much. Each one I have had the inner core breaks because it’s hard plastic. I have all carpet in my house so it’s not used on a hard floor all the time. I also know not to over tighten it or throw it or you run the risk of breaking the core. I wish the inner core was made of a different plastic.
Fun for eveyone
We have 3 Newfoundlands, 12 months, 11 months and 4 months old. All you have to do is put some small treats in, set it down and the fun begins. All 3 like to bat the ball around and get the treats. The ball is sturdy and the hole where the treats comes out is big enough for the treats to come right out.
My dog’s bowl
My lab/Great Dane is obsessed with this toy. He will eat all of his meals only out of this ball. He loves it and I’m happy my picky eater will eat this way!
Great for bored dogs
I have to leave my dog alone during the day and this treat ball is a perfect distraction. You have to use larger treats or they will fall out in batches.
It lasted 2 years
I would say this is an okay toy. Not the best but not the worst. It helped occupy her for short periods of time. It was hard to find good sized treats to put in it. Kibble or mini size treats seemed to come out too easy. Small sized Milk-bone type biscuits would get stuck. Sometimes I would cut up baby carrots and mix with kibble to vary up how quick the treats would come out. When it was empty she would pick it up and hit it on the house, floor, or a tree to try to get more. The inside blue plastic part that holds the treats eventually cracked and broke. My dog is 5 years old, about 63 lbs. (Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, husky mix). I am plan to contact JW Pet to see if inner piece can be replaced.
Large Capacity and Easy to Clean
My dogs eat most of their meals from interactive toys so we're always looking for a good one. This one is a bit easy, but still stimulating and has enough capacity to feed an entire meal. The dogs are enjoying it, even if it is a bit simple.
Cheap garbage don't buy
The center part that twists together shattered when my dog dropped it after one day of use. Junk.
My Dog Loves This Toy!
My 9 month old GSD puppy loves this toy and it keeps her entertained for a while. I have so many enrichment toys but you can never have too many when you have a high energy breed like a German shepherd. This toy is very durable, easy to fill up with treats/kibble, and easy to wash. Overall, I love this toy and so does my dog!
4 of Everything
I have 4 dogs 1 is only about 35lbs 1 is 180lbs and the other 2 are 200 to 210lbs. All 4 of my dogs love this treat ball, my mistake was only getting 3 and buying something smaller for the smaller dog. needless to say she was not happy so I am buying my 4th Rockin Treat Ball, I have gotten a lot of deferent puzzle treat toys for my dogs but this one they love the most, they get so existed when I pull them out all I hear in the kitchen is crying, barking and howling because they know what I'm giving them and I cant fill the balls fast enough for them. This ball holds up very well, it has teeth marks all over it, you can clearly tell it is a well played with toy but so that they don't destroyed there balls I take the balls away from them when they no longer have treats in them, because my dogs will keep trying to open the ball out of frustration. All that they know is it still smells like my treat so there must still be my treats in my ball. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST TOYS I HAVE EVERY BOUGHT!!! One of the treat balls is 5 or 6 years old, the other 2 are around 3 years old.
