Kurgo Kibble Carrier Travel Dog Food Container, Coastal Blue

Pictured side-by-side are the Kurgo food carrier (red). And a super cheap/thick/waterproof, not Kurgo (black). Love everything about the Kurgo in fabric and design, but it's missing a thick strip at opening allowing it to fold/seal onto itself, which is needed for both keeping moisture - and the dog - out of the dog food. I regret not returning it, I can't trust the dog near it because he can easily get into it when the bag is more full and not folded over multiple times.

I really liked this product in the beginning. I used this travel dog container when we would go on weekend trips to the shore. It was really great because you can just put in how much kibble you need and roll it down so you can save space! Also liked that it has other pockets. Unfortunately I realized that after using this several times the bag doesn’t hold up. Now the oils from the dog food seep through the bottom so the bottom of the bag is stained and also stains anything it’s sitting on. I noticed this when the bag was sitting on a piece of paper and the paper was stained brown. I tried throwing in the washer machine and now it smells strange. Pretty disappointed since I really liked this in the beginning but it doesn’t contain the food and will need to be thrown out. Guess I’ll go back to using a plastic container.

Overall thoughts: I travel a lot and often bring my dog with me or drop him off at boarding. This bag is very spacious and light. The inside is lined with washable material as well as an area to write your dog's name and any other essential information. I love how this folds down and clips to adjust to the amount of food you put in the bag. I have started even putting my pups toys in this bag with his food and the measuring cup when we travel because it has so much space. It's great to have an option that does not need to be thrown (like sandwich bags) away and can simply be wiped clean and air dried. Pricing: Really great price for the quality and size.

We got two of these bags just prior to a 14 day round trip of travel with our two Lurchers, one in red and one in blue. Red held several days worth of their kibble plus foil packs, the measuring cup and packets of probiotic and was so easy to stow while driving, but grab and bring in to our hotel room at night. Blue was the treats bag. Folding the bag down as the amount of food went down also was a great visual reminder of when I needed to get more to replenish the "go bag".
