This door is perfect for what we needed. We brought in a mama cat and four kittens, and need to keep them separated from the rest of our crew while they all interact. We originally had four baby gates up, but that was a HUGE nuisance. This, however, is wonderful! I can see what the family is up to, our other cats can see and smell them, and it's so easy to get in and out of the room. The door opens both in and out, and latches midway and at the bottom. No tools necessary to install it, and is easy enough to set it up in about 10 or 15 minutes. We put a baby gate at the top just in case, but I don't see how the cats could jump it. Perfect!

It is a guest room, but I put the plants in there to keep the cat from chewing on them. I always despised how stacking those gates looked, especially when we had company. My husband saw this terrific Unipaws 56” tall gate on Chewy. We decided to order it. We are both so glad we did. It was easy to install and looks like a nice clear door. It is easy to open when we need to go in the room, but the cat cannot get in the room. It is a win-win for us!

It’s been up for about 2 weeks and they enjoy being able to see and smell each other while still knowing that they can walk away if it gets too much. Really high quality too. We bought this pet gate because we have a brand new kitten and the space under our stairs is unfinished. We didn't want him being able to get under the stairs where we can't reach him both for his safety and also in case of an emergency. I found this door and thought it was perfect. The package arrived in fine condition - usual shipping bumps and dents but nothing egregious. However, upon opening the box we were severely disappointed to find that the tension of the door is only supported by zipties connected together. Our first delivery had to be replaced because the zipties did not prevent the door from shifting and sheering off the hinge for the door. The weld completely snapped. The replacement door has the same "packaging" but we were lucky that the 2nd door didn't have any broken parts. The welds on the door are pretty poor and any sizeable pet/toddler could pretty easily break them with some force. Overall, the gate is fine for our purposes until we actually frame in an actual door for that space.

When I’d close the door to separate them, my cat would meow anxiously and tunnel at the carpet by the door because he is very social and wanted out. I bought this gate because I liked the clear door vs slats that the cat could potentially swat through. I also loved that you could install it over a door so we didn’t have to remove the door to my office when I need privacy to work. Quite easy to install. Working great as it keeps his cat out and my cat can see out the door and feel more involved in the rhythms of the house. Love that it opens both ways. And the cats are adjusting well to each other now that there’s no threat. Only knocking off one star because when my cat paws at the gate it rattles (sounds like your dryer is running) and we’re working on a way to stop that.
