I should have read the reviews before making this purchase. The bottle drips constantly, so the cage floor is always wet. And don’t get me started about that ridiculous spring that holds the bottle at the top. It’s very difficult to get the thing hooked onto the cage. Very disappointing for a product that should be so simple to use.
Not very functional for Critter Nation Cage

I wanted a glass water bottle because I thought they would be more sanitary/easy to clean. I didn't like this water bottle for many reasons- but mostly, it leaks and the proportions are weird so it will only fit in my Critter Nation cage if the platforms are spaced out in a specific way. Also, the holder and spring cable are not easy to use. In general, my old plastic water bottle with just the spring cable worked far better than this.
CHECK WATER BOTTLE!!
on Apr 2, 2021
please please, check and make sure the water bottle is working properly. My other hamster's water bottle had a leak problem if you didn't fill it properly. Today, I just noticed that my 2nd hamster's water bottle was full and thought that was strange. Same bottle but it was not letting water out. I don't even remember when I filled this bottle up. I noticed my hamster looked dehydrated and have tried to rehydrate him. I'm worried that having no water for however many days..definitely close to a week.. might have caused internal damage. So, PLEASE make sure the water bottle works. I'm not risking it and have put another bottle in the cage.
Will not work very well at all

I almost wish I contacted for refund. But I didn't, I decided to try them. They didn't seem like they were going to work well. I rinsed them, then filled them.
I noticed after several hours that no one was drinking from it, nothing gone from either cage(boys and girls). It won't come out, the water that is. I had to tap it, with decent force, several times. Why I just ordered two different new water bottles to try. Very very disappointed.

You have to fill the bottle to the very very top in order to create a seal. Even then, mine drips consistently. My previous bottle had broken and I needed a quick replacement. I wish I had looked at the reviews. It drips consistently though it does hold a day or two of water still for my 8lbs rabbit. Its okay at best. Would never get again and might replace soon.

This waterbottle is the worst. It drips SO bad and consistently. I would not recommend these to anyone. I wish I would have tried these out BEFORE getting ready to go get our hamster. His bedding is going to be soaked by the end of the hour at this rate

I recently bought three bottles for my two rabbits, and one guinea pig. To my surprise after filling one of the bottle. Normally the water is supposed to stop dripping after filling it to the correct water level. It kept dripping, and I thought something might be wrong with the seal inside, but it was the middle whole where the water runs through. The round plastic part of each top was indented not solid like it should be. So I checked all three tops, and all three tops were like the one I filled with water. I called chewy to let them know about the defective tops on these water bottles. I was sent a second replacement order, but to my surprise, they had the same defective topsGood afternoon,

All three were not usable, so I had to call back today. I let them know so I could be refunded. I worked many years as a quality control inspector for a plastic factory. These items should not have been passed to be shipped, the manufacturer of these tops for these bottles are the blame for their poor ability to inspect product before giving it to their customers. I'm not blaming chewy for this problem, but I felt that anyone buying this item needs to know what is going on before they buy it.

Just Use a Bowl
on Mar 2, 2021
Your pet cannot get enough water from this, it makes drinking water difficult for a small pet. Its hard to clean, so bacteria builds up inside. Just use a heavy water bowl for your small pet so it can get enough water easily. Save your money and your pet from dehydration.
Directions are wrong

Instructions say fill to the maximum line, but you should fill completely to create a vacuum...just like with all water bottles I've seen.. It leaks like crazy when I only fill to the max line. Also, the sipper may end up in the wrong position when the cap is tightened, and it may seem like it's stuck there, but it can be rotated when the cap is on.
