This product contains grain.

what is the magnesium content of this food?
Answer by ChewyDec 26, 2019
This canned cat food formula has a maximum magnesium content of 0.03% on an as-fed basis.

What is the shelf life once the can is opened and refrigerated in a closed container?
Answer by ChewyJun 01, 2021
An unopened can of food will last until the expiration date stamped on the can. Exposure to air, light, hot temperatures and humidity speeds up the rate at which foods degrade. To limit these effects, keep the food stored in the original packaging and store in a cool, dry location. Ideally, after opening, any leftovers should be stored in the refrigerator and should be consumed within 3-5 days.

My cats LOVE it!!

One of my furbabies had developed crystals in his bladder and his urinary tract got blocked. I had to rush him to the Vet. My Vet had put him on Royal Canin SO but when it became hard to get, he switched my furbabies to Purina Pro Plan UR St/Ox snd they love it! There is a lot of gravy. I get them the Turkey and Giblets in gravy. They've been eating it for 2 years now and no issues!!

Our cats give it 5 stars plus

Our cats have been eating this for at least two years. Grace had kidney stones and had to have surgery. This food has really helped her, she goes to the vet and her Ph is right on the spot. Her sister Bella eats it too. Gravy is great for them too Sometimes add a little water for more gravy more hydration to help the kidneys Of course they have a water fountain which they love plus their urinary treats. Grace and Bella say Meow!!

Cat food for good

My Kitty gets crystal build ups in his urinary tract. This food keeps the crystals out so he can go as normal. He prefers the wet can turkey flavor and yes he is spoiled

Saving my cat from bladder crystals

My poor daddy cat (daddy to all my fosters) has had issues with struvite crystals since he was young. He had the surgery but lately has gotten bladder stones. My vet recommended special food, Purina Hydra Care Feline Hydration Supplement, phenoxybenzamine, and buprenorphine for pain. he was pretty sick but is making progress finally. HE LOVES THE HYDRA CARE. I add a little extra water to it for extra hydration and he licks it all up. He really likes the ProPlan Veterinary Diet both the turkey and the salmon.

goodreview

My cat Neko, has a history of bladder and kidney infections. He has been put on a special urinary tact diet by his vet. He has always been a fussy eater, preferring wet morsels with gravy. I am not finding a lot of options. It is just chicken and turkey. Neko doesn't care for the salmon. Is it advisable to mix it up with another brand of urinary tract catfood? Thank you, Andrea Ryan

Happy and Healthy

I adopted my boy 3 years ago and he was on this food at that time. I have kept him on the food. He is happy and healthy with a beautiful coat and absolutely no urinary issues!!!

Worked to dissolve my cat's bladder stones

This is the only urinary prescription diet my cat would eat. Fortunately, it worked! After several months on a canned only diet of this Purina UR food, all of my cat's bladder stones are fully dissolved. No surgery needed! I really can't believe it worked.

great replacement for Royal Canine

After 15+ years on Royal Canin Urinary SO we couldn’t get the dry last year so I contacted my vet who suggested and I switched to the Purina equivalent with success. Last month the canned food was unavailable and was changed - I read Chewy reviews and it sounded like a lot of cats didn’t like the new loaf type Royal Canin SO food. So I tried the Purina morsel food and my cat waits by his dish. He loves it and no longer does it sit with his glucosamine and chondroitin going to waste because he wouldn’t eat it. Purina is a hit with him from the first can. I think he would devour the whole can. So far this 17 year old is thrilled and meows to get his food.

Cat loves this food

My cat had been eating Royal Canin SO but it’s been difficult to get so I tried this and my cat loves it even better than the Royal Canin. I’m switching to Proplan.
