    CHECK WATER BOTTLE!!

By hamstermom on Apr 2, 2021

please please, check and make sure the water bottle is working properly. My other hamster's water bottle had a leak problem if you didn't fill it properly. Today, I just noticed that my 2nd hamster's water bottle was full and thought that was strange. Same bottle but it was not letting water out. I don't even remember when I filled this bottle up. I noticed my hamster looked dehydrated and have tried to rehydrate him. I'm worried that having no water for however many days..definitely close to a week.. might have caused internal damage. So, PLEASE make sure the water bottle works. I'm not risking it and have put another bottle in the cage.

Will not work very well at all

By Lauren on Apr 9, 2021

I almost wish I contacted for refund. But I didn't, I decided to try them. They didn't seem like they were going to work well. I rinsed them, then filled them. I noticed after several hours that no one was drinking from it, nothing gone from either cage(boys and girls). It won't come out, the water that is. I had to tap it, with decent force, several times. Why I just ordered two different new water bottles to try. Very very disappointed.

    Directions Lie

By Emmalea on Apr 12, 2021

You have to fill the bottle to the very very top in order to create a seal. Even then, mine drips consistently. My previous bottle had broken and I needed a quick replacement. I wish I had looked at the reviews. It drips consistently though it does hold a day or two of water still for my 8lbs rabbit. Its okay at best. Would never get again and might replace soon.

    1 star is generous

By Annoyed on Mar 27, 2021

This waterbottle is the worst. It drips SO bad and consistently. I would not recommend these to anyone. I wish I would have tried these out BEFORE getting ready to go get our hamster. His bedding is going to be soaked by the end of the hour at this rate

    Defective tops

By Lilacgirl on Jan 16, 2021

Good afternoon, I recently bought three bottles for my two rabbits, and one guinea pig. To my surprise after filling one of the bottle. Normally the water is supposed to stop dripping after filling it to the correct water level. It kept dripping, and I thought something might be wrong with the seal inside, but it was the middle whole where the water runs through. The round plastic part of each top was indented not solid like it should be. So I checked all three tops, and all three tops were like the one I filled with water. I called chewy to let them know about the defective tops on these water bottles. I was sent a second replacement order, but to my surprise, they had the same defective tops Good afternoon, I recently bought three bottles for my two rabbits, and one guinea pig. All three were not usable, so I had to call back today. I let them know so I could be refunded. I worked many years as a quality control inspector for a plastic factory. These items should not have been passed to be shipped, the manufacturer of these tops for these bottles are the blame for their poor ability to inspect product before giving it to their customers. I'm not blaming chewy for this problem, but I felt that anyone buying this item needs to know what is going on before they buy it. Thank you very much, … more

    Just Use a Bowl

By FavoredFilly on Mar 2, 2021

Your pet cannot get enough water from this, it makes drinking water difficult for a small pet. Its hard to clean, so bacteria builds up inside. Just use a heavy water bowl for your small pet so it can get enough water easily. Save your money and your pet from dehydration.

    Directions are wrong

By RUMBLE on Jan 17, 2021

Instructions say fill to the maximum line, but you should fill completely to create a vacuum...just like with all water bottles I've seen.. It leaks like crazy when I only fill to the max line. Also, the sipper may end up in the wrong position when the cap is tightened, and it may seem like it's stuck there, but it can be rotated when the cap is on.

Every single one of these I ever get leaks. I tried different fill levels. Cleaning them. Checking o-rings. Always leaks.

Fixed the issue I had with a previous water bottle

By Deedee on Nov 10, 2020

I would recommend this product. My last water bottle was a plastic one mounted from the outside with the tip inside the cage. It was great until my cat decided to bite it and then it leaked everywhere, poor Jack (my hamster) didn't have water for most of the day. I switched up to this glass one, HA! I dare the cat to bite this one. Also to note, I have a DIY bin cage for my hamster. So it did take a little extra effort to mount this water bottle on the cage, but I was able to do it without issue. It might be a little lower in the cage than what I would like it but Jack is drinking from it without issue. I did have one small issue with the bottle which was my fault. I kept watching my hamster chewing and wiggling it and realized what had happened, so it's important to follow the instructions. … more
