I bought this carrier to put my chinchilla in to take him on a short ride to his vet appointment. It did its job. I would say this is good for short trips.
i was looking at this as a small transport to vets or overnight stay for a guinea pig. I ordered the large one, which was the correct size for ONE adult guinea pig. It was a nightmare trying to put it together; the sides don't quite line up to assemble it and have it rest in the grooves on the plastic bottom. Since we didn't use it, we are returning it.
I bought this cage to carry my GP to my daughter's when I go. It will work for that but he won't be able to stay any long amount of time in it! It is way too small for over a few hours! I also used it when I clean their cages. By the time I put one of them, a water bottle & some hay in there it's a lil cramped!! It's great for just a ride or to the vet but if you're looking for a place to house your babies for a few days- Not the one!!
This cage won’t latch into place on the tray where it is supposed to. It seems to be bent and will not latch so we are afraid to use if for our guinea pig in fear that the top will come off and there is a gap at the bottom from the wire to the tray.
Just right for Peepers while we clean his cage or take him someplace.
The following guidelines are useful to determine the space needed for guinea pigs. One guinea pig: 7.5 square feet cage (minimum), but more is better; generally 30" x 36" is a good size. Two guinea pigs: 7.5 square feet (minimum), but 10.5 square feet is preferred; generally 30" x 50" is a good size. But this cage is way under that and does not proving good living for your pets.
My guinea pig loves it for traveling . Would definitely buy it again. Used for a 12 hour drive .
This cage is perfect for my chinchilla, we moved a few months ago, I needed something to transport my chins. I got 2 of these cages put them together and zip tied the bottom of the cage . Perfect for them.
It’s a perfect size cage for me to put one of my budgies in to take to the vet. It’s not too small, but just right. Only one small bird would fit in it though so I bought one for each of my parakeets and it worked well!
This is a carrier, not a cage. It is ment for taking your animal in the car, to the vet's, or else where... not for you to take the animal on vacation with you where it will sit in this cage. When traveling you want to have a SMALL space for your animal, enough to turn around, and sit up with head room. The bigger the carrier, the more damage can be done if you are in a car accident, you don't want them thrown around a cage. The orginal wire/plastic carriers that they came out with would fit in the soft carriers. this is how I would used them. it gave me the added security that my my rats, gerbils, hamsters, ectera couldn't chew out of the carrier, and get loose, and the soft shell let them have a nice dark area to feel safe in, and it gave a good handle to carry it.
