Great carrier!
By RattyHouse on Feb 24, 2021
We bought this for my son for Christmas, as we have 14 pet rats and my son always wants to bring one with us on errands or anywhere we go. It’s sturdy, easy to open/close, easy to clean, offers plenty of ventilation, and the red and Gray combo is attractive. Not only good for leisure trips, but certainly perfect for transport to/from the vet. It’s not for long term use, as there isn’t a way to affix a water bottle (and a bowl of water doesn’t exactly travel well!) but it’s a great little carrier!

Arrived Broken
By ssmcdaries on Feb 4, 2021
This carrier is a good size for our hedgehog and what he needs to keep warm on a trip to the vet or while he’s having his habitat cleaned. However, the hinges for the lid arrived broken so I can’t securely clasp the lid. I don’t think it’ll be an issue because he is in it with supervision and burrows down instead of challenging the lid, but I would imagine other types of small pets bumping the lid and escaping the carrier. Just know there’s potential for the carrier to arrive broken and you may not be able to secure your pet. Chewy tends to have good customer service, so if it doesn’t work for you at all I would recommend reaching out to them.

only for small pets.
By bunnymom on Feb 24, 2021
i was very pleased with the build but the carrier is very small. i bought this for vet trips for our rabbits and kitten and i don't believe my dwarf lionheads would fit very comfortably. this is sturdy and well built but it's just so much smaller than expected. this carrier would probably be better for young Guinea pigs, hamsters, reptiles, or ferrets.

Nice Size, But Received Broken
By KimD on Feb 3, 2021
I finally got an opportunity to use this carrier. Upon removing the cardboard packaging, I noticed two pieces of broken plastic in the carrier. Once I assembled the carrier, I discovered that the broken pieces of plastic were the hinges that hold the transparent lid. Pretty sure this cannot be fixed. Disappointed that this is totally useless!

Decently made, but some issues arise
By Emma on Dec 6, 2020
"Chew resistant" is a decent term, but make sure you keep in mind that a determined animal will chew through anything shy of metal. Our smallest girls are hybrid wildies (rats) and between the two of them turned a hole that started out the size of a dime into about the size of a quarter while they were in the carrier while we were cleaning their cage. It was also a HUGE pain to put the halves together properly when we received it, but once I managed to wrestle it into submission it was sturdy enough and is a suitable size for one or 2 rats to be transported at a time, which is what I bought it for. The latch on the top can be a little challenging to operate one handed at times, which is problematic "Chew resistant" is a decent term, but make sure you keep in mind that a determined animal will chew through anything shy of metal. Other than these issues, I am overall fairly pleased with the product for the price. It largely lives up to its item description and it works well enough as a carrier, though it seems I should probably not use it for cage cleaning day anymore and sort out an alternative. I give it a 7/10. Picture of chewed hole for reference: … more

Broken tab
By Cage on Jan 20, 2021
For the price it serves the purpose but you have to put the top and bottom together and it’s difficult because it doesn’t line up. I finally got it together but one of the tabs was broken off. I’m keeping it because it holds my gerbils while I’m cleaning the cage. Good price point for what you get.

Great value
By Iris on Jan 25, 2021
This carrier is at great quality, and also chew proof. Although it’s a little bit small for our chinchilla, but it’s definitely a safe choice to carry him during a small car ride. 100% worth the price.

Smaller then expected
By MiniRexMama on Jan 1, 2021
When I was shopping around, the description said this was good for rabbits. We have a mini Rex and he seems uncomfortable in it. He’s still small, so it’ll work for now. However, I will need to purchase a new one. I wish it was available in a larger size because I absolutely love the carrier.

Fits my Sugar Gliders
By Aliz on Dec 13, 2020
I have 2 Sugar Gliders and they fit perfectly in there with their blanket. I put them in there when I'm cleaning their cage or when I'm taking them to the vet. Could possibly fit 3 or 4. They were confused at first because it was new, but after a few minutes they crawled into their blanket and went to sleep.
