Promptly wipe up any foreign matter or liquid with a damp cloth or sponge.
The stairs require no assembly. The back legs are held in the open position by means of a wood locking brace, located under the top step. Swing the back leg away from the main stair section until the locking brace falls into position. When the brace is in the locked position, the edge of the brace will overlap the top edge of the leg (see nearby image). Test to make sure the locking brace is in position by attempting to fold the legs back to the main stair section: if they cannot be closed, the brace is correctly positioned. Now place the stairs in the desired location next to a couch, bed, etc. To fold the rear leg section for storage or transport, simply reach under the top step and press up on the wood locking brace to disengage it from the rear leg section.
I received the stairs and found unevenness in the structure of the stairs. I thought I could live with it but as soon as I tried to unfold the stairs I had the upper stair separately in my hand and the bottom stabilizer broke off. I could have built this thing myself and I have no clue about woodwork. Way too cheaply, raggedy made and it deserves to be in the trash and not in someone's home.
Solved Our Dog's Difficulty Getting on the Bed
on Oct 30, 2019
We have an older, small dog who began having difficulty jumping up on the bed. We bought these steps and, at first, she was reluctant to use them. Then, we offered her a tiny reward treat, holding it above each step as she went up, then giving it to her when she reached the top. It worked! She now uses the steps and will not be hurt falling by trying to jump too high.

Those were great steps that fold up really easy and look nice and support a lot of weight. The downside… I needed to nail rubber feet on so it did not slide around my floor. Probably OK on carpet but I don’t know.
wicket loves these stairs
on Oct 9, 2019
This is wicket's second pair of pet stairs. The first set is used in one bedroom for a bed, while the second one is for another bed in another room. He's small, and there are high beds in all the rooms. Jumping down from a higher area looked to be harsh on his shoulders, since animals jump down front first. So, getting the stairs for him has helped with his joints, and gives him a second alternative to getting down from a higher area. These fold, and can be put away in any space perfectly fit for that.
Overall dimensions need specification
on Oct 8, 2019
So I had looked at the Questions and Answers to help me figure out what dimension was for the hight, but that was apparently incorrect. As such, I'm either going to have to completely reconfigure my room so I can lower my bed or return the steps and build my own. Also, the 'locking' mechanism for the brace leaves a lot to be desired as it doesn't take much to dislodge it.
Dog steps review
on Oct 30, 2019
Did not like these steps. I am going to return them. They slip on my wood floor in bedroom where i needed them. Dog did not take to them at all. Too big, too bulky!! Seem to be made well, but too heavy for this old gal to move around.
Love the steps

But the come with felt material on the steps, darker brown. I went and spent an additional $14.00 and put nice carpeting on the steps.
Perfect for our Boxers!
on Aug 20, 2019
We recently pulled up all the carpet in our bedrooms and refinished the hardwood. Our boxers couldn't get enough traction to jump up in the bed, and they couldn't jump down without face planting!
Thankfully, we found these steps! Easy to use, easy to put away, trendy, etc..
Eventually, I will add some shaggy carpet to the steps, because the carpet on them now show EVERY piece of hair, but other than that, no complaints at all!

Perfect height for tall beds and the quality is great. My dog is 110 pounds and it took his weight fine even with his rambunctious behavior. The only reason I give it a 4 star instead of 5 is because I have hardwood floors and it does slide. I had to make my own nonslip bottom. Carpet it would be fine. Overall I love it and I also want to mention that chewy has the BEST customer service! The woman on the phone helped me go over many steps according to my needs.
Worth the $$

These stairs are sturdy enough to hold Olivia (50 lb. English Bull Terrier). The felt on the treads keep her from slipping & the angle is shallow enough for her to easily get up & down. They are light enough to move out of the way when not in use. Olivia & I are both glad I purchased these for her.
