I was excited about this tree, it seemed sturdy at first. Not even a couple months later and one of the posts has fallen off. My cat is only 7 pounds. After it fell I inspected it, and the plastic had broken internally. Very disappointed.
I received the 55" beige cat tree and put it together immediately. It was easy to assemble and my cat watched closely. He absolutely loved it. I move it from room to room and he rides on it as I push it around. He is 18 mos. old and weighs 9 pounds. The top two "nests" are a little snug, but he manages to get in and nap or watch out a window. He never gets in the little tube area because he bumps his head as he tries to jump in. He enjoys playing on it and we truly enjoy watching him play.
As soon as I opened the box, the new kitties jumped inside and helped me put it up. With their help (lol) it went up in less than 20 minutes. Clear instructions. Hardware worked. Much bigger than I thought it would be, so do plan on it taking up some significant space. But completely worth it. Each kitty immediately jumped up on a perch--and 10 days later have maintained those perches and fiercely defended them:) They like the condo for retreat and for hiding before pouncing. It took them a while longer to discover the tunnel and slide, but they play wildly on those now too. It's sturdy but my kittens are very active 5 pounders and the tree can shake and wobble when they get going on their morning madness or midnite madness especially lol. Very pretty color. Hope it holds up with all the movin and shakin, but very happy with it now.
I can't even finish putting this thing together because they did not send a screw that connects the left left piece to the rest of the tower. Now I have to go spend a bunch of more money on another tower for no good reason
We purchased this back in December of last year with the intent of putting it up when we moved into our new home a month later. When we put it up, we noticed the perches always moved when our large, 19lb cat always jumped on them. Today the perch ripped off leaving metal spikes exposed for our cats to be injured on. Don’t buy if you have a large cat. It won’t last. The scratching post area and slides were also destroyed (as well as the carpet on the tree) within a month of getting this item, so honestly it’s junk.
I have moved three times since I got this tree, and the only wear and tear is one corner of the base that cracked when my desk fell into it. The cat adores it (she loves to be tall) and sleeps on the top bed all day. She doesn't use the spaces to crawl into, but when we cat-sat for another cat, he loved them. This is a wonderful cat tree, and I would absolutely buy it again.
Well made Easy to put together Perfect size Sturdy Our cats LOVE it!!
I actually thought this for my mother's cats and they love it! She has 3 smaller breeds and 1 mancoon cross and it easily holds his weight and he can even fit in the little house if he really wants to. Super easy to put together and only needed the allen wrench it came with to tighten everything. The suspended tunnel is a little small but kittens can play in it easily. You can also remove the little ball toys if you want.
First night and my cats were both perched up on the beds. It's perfect for 2 cats because there's multiple places for them to sleep at once. My cats are also only like 7 pounds each so I knew they'd fit in the beds, as they are relatively small. I have seen them scratch the slide, and play with the toy balls as the were laying in the cave. This tree really has everything they need!
Assembly was fine, no problem putting together, & my daughter wanted to help. We had no problem putting in the straws (sticks with the balls at the end), BUT I also took some pliers to flatten the ends a bit to help get them in the hole a little easier. The perches are a good size, not sure how they’d be when she’s older, but if it’s anything like our old one, which was much smaller, she’ll be fine and cram herself in it. She loves looking out the window and stares at passing cars. Overall she loves it and we do too!
