Sturdy for big dogs, just takes work to alleviate fear
By Xlarge on Apr 17, 2021
Seems sturdy for big dogs and people trying to teach dogs how to use (125# mastiff mix, 130+# St.Dane and a 80# Bernadoodle). Purchased as Mastiff getting older and has difficulty loading into Expedition. Our 1 year old Bernadoodle has severe hip dysplasia and cannot have surgery until he is full grown. We also want to limit his stress on his joints post surgery as well as all of our x-large babies. We have only had the stairs for a short period of time and are working with all dogs to overcome their fear. St. Dane is by far the worst. Petrified of new things. Steps could be a bit wider as I think that is part of their fear. Easy and quick to fold and store.

Great steps
By ColleenJoy on Apr 11, 2021
Just got these steps and in seconds our young and fit but “I can’t jump” Collie was in the backseat of our Outback. The steps might be a bit high for a dog with mobility issues. The steps are sturdy and stable, with a nice wide base and are non-skid on top. They came assembled and are super easy to set up. Lift by the handle that says “open” and they open, lift by the one that says “close” and they close. An added benefit is they are plenty sturdy enough for humans to use (up to 300pounds) so we can use them to access things on the roof rack as well. They fold nearly flat and take up very little space.

Easy to use and durable
By Teee on Apr 18, 2021
I wanted wide stairs for my large bernese mountain dog, but also needed them to fold up to fit behind the seat for a long road trip. These stairs are perfect. They are quick and easy to open and close, which was also something I needed if using multiple times a day. I’ve used it every day for a couple of months and it has held up well - my only concern is the durability of the rings that you pull to open/close the stairs. I hope they don’t break. I highly recommend these stairs.

Great helper for an aging dog
By SaintShellie on Apr 13, 2021
Although we have a ramp for our truck, these steps are perfect for getting my older dog into the back of the SUV. We got him acclimated by setting them up by the sofa. Took him less time to use the steps than the ramp since stairs are something that he's already used to. I love that the steps are so lightweight and easy to get into position and just as easy to put away. I've stood on them to test weight support since he's a beefy dog; no problem! Great set of portable dog step.

Unstable and dog is afraid of it
By Becky on Apr 2, 2021
I have a 10 year old lab that has difficulties getting in my car on her own and I tried using a ramp but it didn't seem stable and my dog was afraid to use it. I saw this and read the good reviews and thought this might be easier. First off, it isn't easy to open and close like it claims, unless I just got a dud, it takes alot of effort to open it and when I go to close it then it snaps my fingers easily. It is very wobbly and barely seems to hold my 80 pound dog's weight without wobbling which then makes her nervous and afraid to use it.

Great for my senior girls!
By PuppyGoddess on Mar 22, 2021
My two senior Husky/Malamute/GSDs (who still act like puppies) have vet appointments monthly for osteo treatments and laser therapy to keep their arthritis at bay. They are happy to jump up into my SUV, but I'm trying to keep them healthy and pain-free as long as possible. These steps are easy to open, close and store. Now if I can just get my 12yo & 11yo doggo girls to quit acting personally offended and embarrassed so they will use these, all will be well. :)

Good, light weight Dog steps
By Lenard on Mar 26, 2021
I am happy with the Foldable Dog steps. They are light weight and easy to use. I use the Stairs at the back passenger door of my Toyota Highlander. It lines up well with the car and door opening. It is the same height as the floor of the car. I have my dog’s crate on the back seat. She can now climb the stairs and I don’t have to lift her out. The dog learned to use it quickly. I trained her indoors, placing the steps next to the couch and using some treats. Then went outside to the car.

New fan of Chewy.com!
By Sweetpumps on Apr 15, 2021
My first order from Chewy was an easy process with great service! The car stairs will be a great help to me as well as my dog as my bad back has prevented me from putting her in the car for appointments or just for fun outings . Sturdy with good traction material, totally easy to fold and unfold and easily stored . My rescue pup weighs 40lbs...

Excellent solution
By Woody on Apr 11, 2021
This step has saved my back! My dog would not jump into the car - he would lean in and wait for me to pick him up to get in. As he got older -and much bigger (part Great Pyrenees) I couldn’t lift him. Trying to bribe him with treats to jump in never worked. This step is portable, collapses down and can be operated with one hand. Thank you for a great invention!

just what I needed
By Louise on Mar 20, 2021
These are great steps! I got them for my lab puppy to protect her developing joints & hips as she gets in and out of my SUV. It took a little bit of motivation, but she figured them out. Only thing is they can be a little wobbly if she skips the first step and goes right got to the second, so I put my foot on the first step when she’s going up so the steps doesn’t move. They fold down easily and don’t take up much space, and open and close very easily. Glad to have these steps!
