The Perfect Solution
These steps are unbelievably lightweight, yet sturdy for our 100-pound dog to use. He hasn't lost traction on the covered steps. In the times where he decides to walk halfway down then push off to jump the rest of the way, the stairs have continued their stability. I am easily able to collapse them for storage and lift them into the vehicle. Bonus: these fit beside the side door for our dog to use them to get into the vehicle by the second-row seats, not just from the back under the lift gate.
sturdy and easy to use
these are perfect. i considered getting my senior dog a ramp and i am so glad i didnt. they fold and unfold super easy, and he feels secure on them because of the size and grip. they could be a little bigger cause he has a bit of trouble getting his back paws on the first step before putting his front paws on the second step - but he has relatively short and unflexible legs (pit/lab mix)
Great help for old dog
I think these steps are perfect for my 35-40 lbs 13 year old Border Collie mix. She has a lot of pep still for long walks and running on hikes but has trouble with the leap into my suv. She learned in 2 try’s how to go up. I have not tried down yet . They are a great size and open and close easily. I tried a ramp once which was very bulky and heavy. The the stairs are great
It works for a Newf
Using this for my 6mo Newfoundland that’s clocking in at 90lb. Was trying to prevent future hip and joint problems from jumping in and out my car. Works great. She figured it out really quickly. My only issue is where to put it once I put her in my trunk. But I probably just need to get a bigger car.
Great, functional item
I recently got a new vehicle and it’s higher than my previous one. I have a 50 lb dog and a bad back so lifting her into vehicle isn’t always easy for me and she is a medium sized build and can’t really jump in herself, so I was looking for something to help her get in vehicle that would be portable that I could leave in the vehicle, then I saw this great item. These are fan-tas-tic! They’re a great price, well made, function great and I love the non-slip tread on stairs. I first opened these up in the house and had my dog “practice” going up them and would praise her on her success. So by the time we took them to use at vehicle she walked up them and right onto seat like a champ!
I am pleased with these fold up stairs. I am still training my dog with these stairs as he is fearful of most things. The stairs are lightweight but sturdy. They can easily bear me at 140 pounds. They can be opened and closed pretty easily with one hand, but when you open them, I recommend pressing down on each step to ensure they are open all the way. If not, your dog’s weight might open them all the way and they make a loud noise that could startle your dog.
I have been hunting for a useful product that will help my 6 yr old lab get in the vehicle as she has no problems getting out! This was very useful and she took to using it the first time and got along well. It is very light weight and easy to handle. I would recommend this product.
Don't love it, but it works
I don't love it - the steps are pretty steep (even for my 50lb dog), and not as grippy/non-slip as I thought they would be given what looks like grip tape on the top of the steps. I am trying to teach my dog to walk up/down them slowly so that she doesn't slip. They are super lightweight and convenient though.
The only steps that work
These are the only steps that work for our dog. After 2 CCL surgeries we got tired of having to lift our 80 lb dog into the car. He wouldn't use any ramps and no other steps fit in the door frame for him to get into the side of the car until these. They fold up flat and make it super easy to travel with and have made getting our dog into and out of the car a breeze!
Little steep but work
Use this for the end of the bed, my one 13 year old lab mix walks up it fine and the other 13 year old lab mix is still hesitant about it I have to guide her up. Neither will walk down it it’s steep they end up jumping off the bed. Haven’t tried for car. Would recommend though for price and ease of set up breakdown.
