    Good stuff

By Orijen on Oct 29, 2021

I have been switching the foods I feed our pups every 4 to 6 months or so. I have been doing this since I really don't trust much of the dog food industry. We have 2 French bulldogs Who are very much food driven. I must say that I am very pleased with my pups on this food. When I have tried to switch their diets previously to some kibble products they are usually interested in it for a couple of weeks and then after that they have no interest in it. This has not been the case with tundra and they are actually very happy when I give it to them and it has been about 8 weeks now on this new diet. Their teeth are healthy and their coats are nice and silky on it. I have had poor experiences with I have been switching the foods I feed our pups every 4 to 6 months or so. Their teeth are healthy and their coats are nice and silky on it. I have had poor experiences with other food where their nails and coats were dry and brittle. I have found the opposite with this food which is a relief. They are a bit gassy on it but they are frenchies and that is a tough problem to fix. For some reason I think it's the beans and the peas in certain kibbles that cause them to be gassy. They certainly aren't bothered by it and their stools are great! I am going to try a slow feeder with them to see if that helps at all. The main reason that I purchase this food is that I really love the ingredient profile being mostly protein. The protein list goes on and on and on at the top of the list. What really caught my eye was that there were actually organ meats added to this. That made me extremely happy. This food contains much more protein than other foods on the market hence the price. To me worth spending a little extra for the longevity of my pups of you can spare it. I also do cook for my pups and actually they were on homemade dog food prior to thus but I needed to take a break as it is alot of work. They have been on this food strictly for 2 months which is a sufficient amount of time to post this review. I will likely go back to homemade dog food when I have some more time but it's nice knowing that when I can't do that they can rely on this option. I also think kibble is great for their oral health so i will always do at least some of that throughout the week. … more

    Well worth the extra cost.

By Stew on Oct 11, 2021

My dog Elwood has never been a picky eater. He'll gobble down pretty much whatever you put in front of him. He tips the scales around 110 - 115 pounds. I've always controlled his portions and never fed him any people food. After a few years of eating a different brand of kibble he started having some stomach problems. Twice I had to stop his regular food and put him on a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice to help get his stomach under control. After doing extensive research and speaking with his vet, I became aware that Orijen is the premium dry kibble brand available. I decided to put him on the Tundra blend to see if it helped his stomach. I will note that his kibble is stored in an air tight container. I've been truly impressed. Upon opening the bag and transferring it to the air tight container, Orijen actually smells like the food it is supposed to contain. The Tundra blend specifically smells like fish. What a difference it has made. There was no distress swapping from one food to another, even with vastly different protein bases. Not only has he slimmed down a little bit but his stomach problems have disappeared completely. On top of all of that, he seems to enjoy Orijen Tundra far more than his old kibble. He was always excited for meal time, but now while I'm measuring out his food, he stands next to me and drools on my feet. I cannot say enough good about this kibble. If you are on the fence about price, I understand. Elwood is a big dog who goes through a 25 pound bag each month, and this kibble is nearly three times the price of his previous brand. All I will say is it's worth it. Try a small bag as a meal topper and see how your pet reacts. I want Elwood to be happy and healthy and I think he deserves a more premium food. … more

    Great product

By BrentE on Sep 1, 2021

The old sayings are pretty much true. You are what you eat and you get what you pay for. I never thought I would be paying this much for dog food but it is definitely worth it. I have a 15 month old Silver Lab and she had all but stopped eating the grain-free we were feeding her which was fairly expensive itself just not this much. But I tried the Orijen Tundra and she devoured it. That was over a month ago and still every meal is gone in a matter of 2-3 minutes. She is 86 pounds of pure muscle. She is happy, healthy, and full of energy!

    good stuff

    By MamaDobe15 on Nov 4, 2021

We switched from raw feed to this kibble. We mixed it with Arcana California Waters kibble because Dobermans can’t do grain-free due to DCM. My pup loves the kibble and I love the ingredients. Worth the money.

    Paw-some Food

By Kimmy on Jul 27, 2021

Simba was the pickiest puppy…ever! We went through almost every food until we found Orijen. It kills me that it’s so expensive, but I’ve also noticed that I don’t need vitamin supplements or extra stuff because it’s all in one food and you can switch up the flavors and not have it affect his stomach like others may cause. We are sold on Orijen and I love that it shows you every ingredient on there and I feel safe giving it to my baby. He’s gotten a lot of compliments about being fast, strong, lean, and healthy! I think it’s the Orijen! We started with puppy then as he got older we moved to original, and then tundra but we’re looking at trying regional red just to try something new with flavors Simba was the pickiest puppy…ever! Always a it in our house!

    By Lightning on Sep 13, 2021 top50Contributor

We had first tried Orijen Tundra in the freeze-dried formula which our vizsla absolutely loved. When Orijen came out with Tundra in kibble of course we had to give it a go. Orijen never seems to disappoint and our vizsla can not get enough. Thank you Chewy!

Always will use Orijen, unless it continues to rise in price, and I can't afford it. Excellent dog food.

Shih tzu loved. He had minimal itching, licking and scratching. Pricey, so still searching, but if can afford most definitely recommend.
