What are these "fine ingredients" from "around the world"? Where's the chicken from?
Answer by • Aug 30, 2018
All poultry, pork, and fish come from the U.S. (salmon meal from the U.S./Canada/Chile). The fish is fresh-caught from the Atlantic and Pacific. The beef and lamb are from the U.S., venison is from the U.S. and New Zealand, and rabbit is from France. The vegetables and fruits are from the U.S. and Europe depending on the ingredients. The grains and starches are sourced from the U.S., Canada, and Brazil - herbs and spices from North America and Europe. Instinct sources most of their ingredients from the U.S. and turns to other locations only as needed. They are very stringent on sourcing and have good relationships built with their vendors for quality ingredients.
At what age would a dog be considered a senior? I have an 8 year old turning 9 soon Siberian Husky. Would this be ok for her? She also is picky with a sensitive stomach.
Answer by • Feb 25, 2018
Depending on the breed size of dogs the Senior age can range from 7 to 9 years old. The food isn't made specifically for dogs with sensitive stomachs but does have probiotics to help with digestion.
Isn't there too much protein? or is there 35% protein for seinor dogs who need more energy?

How big are these kibbles for senior? I have a 13 year old Chihuahua, with no teeth.
Answer by • Oct 20, 2017
The kibble size is average approximately 11-12 millimeters in diameter.
Scruffy ate this food excitedly for a few days but now refuses to eat it. He seems to be getting super picky in his old age. Eats treats happily and plays with me in the yard but won't eat this food. Not sure what is up.

My boy gives it two paws up!
My boy had started slowing down greatly so I went online searching for a food that would help. I was already using the Instinct gut health so when I came across this I decided to give it a try. After a few weeks I noticed a change in his movements. He is no longer going down the stairs gingerly and is now racing down them once again. As a plus he loves it and licks his bowl clean after each meal.

He likes it!!!!
My 16 year old dog really doesn’t like dry food so I buy the small bags so I don’t end up with a bunch of uneaten food. But Johnny liked it. And he is really picky! All good!

Instinct dog food
My cockerpoo has been eating this food for several months. She likes the raw dried food that is dispersed throughout the meal. She then goes back to finish her bowl! I think that more dried raw food would enhance the meal. I am considering adding another company’s dried chicken recipe as a topper on Instinct!
