good concept bad equipment! and over priced for what you get
while the idea is good and even worked once or twice. It is expensive, and not very reliable. It worked when I get close enough, (2 ft) . but I watched my cat, a 22 pounder walk within a one ft distance and not set it off. So I believe the sensitivity is hit and miss. also if you turn it off during the day when you are present. (to save the battery usage) every time you turn it on it fires twice and the can holds up to 100 sprays and you waste 2 each time you start it. the replacement cans of spray cost way to much (14.00) for something that sprays for no reason! If the refills were a reasonable price maybe it would be worth a try, but not as it is now!

Works on humans, too!
This product is great. We just adopted two precious cats who love going up as high as they can, but then panic when they can't get themselves back down. The Ssscat sprayer discourages them from going onto the counters then up on top of the high kitchen cupboards, saving my arms from the scratches they give when I have to help them down.
Hilariously, it has "gotten" the two-legged creatures in this house more than the four-legged ones. There is no more sneaking snacks in this house!
Nice Try, Poor Execution
Worked well for about a day. Then become inconsistent. Changed batteries. Didn’t help. You will set it off more than the cats will. Now the cans are low. I would buy again if the price was lower, but not for current price. Way overpriced.
I think the cats learn quickly that the presence of the spray can comes with the spray. But, the spray often doesn’t happen…
Defective?
The sensor seems to work, as it makes a tiny sound when something passes in front of it. However, the unit sits precariously on top of the canister, doesn't attach to it at all and topples off easily, so there is no spritz, only the anemic little sound when the sensor picks up activity.
overpriced, not reliable
I was in the other room and heard it spray when no one was in there. Other times, my cat was on the table next to it and didn’t get sprayed. Requested a return.

No Sound!
I have several of these which have worked great to keep cats off of things. However, this purchase did not include the noisy sound like my previous ones have. So this one only sprays which means it only works when your can of air works. My prior ones can be set to have sound only (with or without air) which gives more flexibility. The concept works to train the cats but if I were buying again I would get the one with sound on/off button.

When they work it's great.
Problem is they do not work for long. For the money you pay you would want them to last longer then a few months. The reason I have bought them is there is no substitute. I have purchased many.

Stopped working after 1 week
This is the second time I have purchased this product. The first one I had stopped working at six mos. Batteries changed, air can changed, and still did not work. So I bought another one, and this one stopped working after a few days. I changed the batteries again and the can again and still does not work.
Could work if your cat isn’t a punk
I was really excited when I got this thinking this is going to really work. If you have a normal cat..one that is maybe on the more jumpy side this would work great!! The noise alone makes me jump. However, if you have a punk of a kitten, he will enjoy setting it off and getting sprayed (insert facepalm). I’m hoping that it may still deter him because he isn’t a fan but he also does not seem to be bothered once up on the counter.
Inconsistent
The motion detection is extremely inconsistent. You can jump up and down and wave your hands in front of it sometimes and it does not do anything. The cat can walk across in front of it and sniff it, nothing. But when it does go off, it definitely startles my Maine Coon and he jumps off the counter. I just wish I could count on it all the time. The concept is great.
