How often do you need to change the water?

The frequency of changing the water ultimately depends on how many pets are using the fountain. If only one pet uses the fountain, then it is fine to keep refilling the bowl as needed and only change out the water every month when the fountain needs to be taken apart for cleaning. The more animals using the fountain, the more often the water should be changed out and the fountain should be cleaned.

Parts did not fit together properly, too powerful pump. Any time I moved the fountain, it spilled out of the edges (marked fill level too high?). Not impressed

Not impressed with how loosely the filter fit into its slot. Badly designed, poorly made. Going back to my cheaper plastic model until I find a better upgrade.

I purchased this fountain in October 2024 and I have loved it-so do my cats! Very quiet & easy to clean-really wanted a stainless steel bowl for the kitties. Unfortunately, it has had a slow leak where the silicone cap covers the cord for maybe 3 months. I have cleaned it regularly and even referred back to the instructions to make sure I was putting it back together properly. Pretty disappointed it only lasted about 8 months.

Has done an okay job otherwise- easy enough to clean and the cats sometimes use it. But overall not recommended.

Just had to clean it and replace the filters every few weeks. Luckily Chewy’s customer’s service is AWESOME and helped us out in resolving the issue. Now have a working water fountain and I love it. Hopefully lasts longer this round!

I may not be cleaning it properly after seeing people mention there are 10 parts to the fountain and most are in the pump (I'm washing the pump as a whole, then the top and body) but I feel like I am cleaning it like most people are. I'm looking for a new water fountain to buy after owning this for 9 months.

I bought this cat fountain about three weeks ago, and I have to say I'm really happy with it. I'd been thinking about getting one for a while, but with so many mixed reviews on materials like plastic, stainless steel, and ceramic, I wasn’t sure which to choose. I also didn’t want to spend a fortune. This product ended up being the perfect balance of quality and affordability. While the base is plastic, the part the cats actually drink from is stainless steel, which I love. One of the biggest issues I had before was my cats constantly knocking over their bowls and making a mess. Since switching to this fountain, that hasn’t happened once. It did take them a few minutes to get used to it at first, they were a bit wary. But now they drink from it without hesitation, and I genuinely believe it encourages them to drink more water. As we all know, cats can be picky about their water, and like their wild cousins, they're naturally drawn to fresh, running water. This fountain provides just that. Another thing I really appreciate is how quiet it is. I keep it in my bedroom and, being a light sleeper, I was worried it might be noisy but I don't hear a thing at night. It also has a helpful light indicator: blue means the water level is fine, and red means it needs a refill. Even when the water runs low, it still operates quietly. Lastly, I love that all the replacement parts are available on Chewy, so I can conveniently get everything I need in one place. Overall, if you're a cat parent looking for a reliable, quiet, and affordable water fountain that your cats will love, this one is definitely worth considering
