  • My dogs loves this food!

    By on

I was looking for a new food for my Shih Tzu. She had become a picky eater and hadn't been enthusiastic about the last 3 or 4 foods I had tried, even when I mixed it with her favorite wet food. I gave Tylee's food a try, in hopes that Betty would like it. She LOVES it! When it's time for her meals she will bark at us until we feed her. We pop 1/2 cup of the food in the microwave for 15 seconds. She gobbles it up the moment we put her bowl on the floor. I like the fact that this food isn't processed like so many dog foods and has great ingredients. I've been a Chewy customer for several years and I love the free shipping and customer service.

  • High quality food with some prep involved

    By on

This food is human-grade, as frankly all dog food should be. It meets all the limitation requirements my rescue putz has: no fowl, no white potato, no gluten and no dairy. It meets my standards for quality of ingredients. The food looks exactly like it does on the bag...like crumpled pork and veggies. The only thing that holds me back from the last star is this does take some forethought when using as a food. You have to remember to remove it from the freezer, scoop out what's needed, place the bag back in the freezer and wait twenty minutes or so for the food to no longer be frozen before feeding. You can keep it in the fridge, but it will only last days there. My dog is small, so that is impractical This food is human-grade, as frankly all dog food should be. Larger dogs would be more costly to feed with this food, but I still say it's worth it if you can. … more

  • The old guy loves this food!

    By on

Over the years my large mixed breed old man became allergic to poultry based dog food on top of the fact that his normal brand discontinued the food that had glucosamine and chondroitin in it. I decided that I would try something new and fresh. I was putting the supplements in myself anyway so why not. I got this food on a bogo to try and he loves it. 6 years old with a mind of a 1 year old with puppy ADD and he eats this food like it's going to run away. I think Tylee made a winner!

  • Something different for my dogs

    By on

All four of my dogs love this food. Even the pickiest of our dogs will wolf it down. The only downside is my chi refuses to eat the veggies in this, which are part of the balanced nutrition in this food. If your dog does not like veggies, then this food might not be for them, unless you use it as an occasional treat or a topper. This is because they won't be getting a balanced meal without consuming the veggies. She ate this for several weeks yet still refused the veggies every time. I guess if I get this again for her, it'll either be mixed in with other food or only a treat meal. I wish the veggies were ground up into the food, because I feel dogs would get more nutrition out of this. Especially All four of my dogs love this food. If they were to start offering such a food, I would totally switch all my dogs to it, as long as they thought it was as yummy as this one. I am considering purchasing this as an occasional treat or a topper for my dogs, or maybe even putting one or two of them on it. I just wish I could put my chi on it, since she was getting bored of her freeze dried dog food. I really wanted something different for her, especially since it's human grade. I'm still impressed with this food, even though my chi thinks it could use improvements. She did love the meat in it. Wish Tylee's would consider offering something similar, but instead with the veggies ground up with the meat. I would still recommend this, as long as your dog actually eats the veggies. My little chi either eats around them or spits them out. … more

  • Picky Terrier

    By on

We have struggled finding the right food for our rescued terrier Loki. He has a very sensitive tummy and we struggled with can and dried foods. I made his food for while but it didn’t all the vitamins he needed so I looked for a wholesome food that didn’t have fillers like saw dust or beet pulp. This is the perfect answer to our search. Loki LOVES the pork blend. We tried the chicken and beef too. He likes the pork cold, we warm up the beef And chicken and he is eating great now and no more tummy troubles! Love that we can change up the flavors so he doesn’t get bored.

  • They love it!!!

    By on

I have 5 rescued dogs....they range from ages from 3 1/2 to 17 years old. I have tried MANY MANY different kinds of food for them over the years, even making it for them myself from fresh chicken, rice and veggies. They ALL LOVE LOVE this food.... I do mix it half and half with a good grade of kibble (if there is such a thing), with the Tylee's. I'll never go back to making it myself, this is too easy and they like it too much!

  • I Am Convinced I Have The Pickiest Eater

    By on

The food is not the best quality, but I have tried many different kinds of food, prescription, freeze dried, frozen raw, refrigerated bags, dried kibble, canned, and I have even tried dry and refrigerated chubs for dogs. I have had no luck I have wasted almost $4,000 trying to find food my dog would eat. I would feed my dog he would eat something once and then I would think that he liked it so I would buy lots of it, then the next time I would feed it to him he would walk away. Then finally I found this, This is the only food I have ever bought that he will consistently eat. I will admit since it is frozen it gets crushed in shipping and there are lots of small powdery meat and veggie pieces. I would definitely try this if you have the same problem which you most likely do not but give it a try. … more

  • Frenchie loves it!

    By on

I bought Tylee's dog food on a whim because of the BOGO sale, but my frenchie really likes it! Granted, he is not a picky eater, since changing over to Tylee's, he has had 1-2 very small poops a day (a little stinkier than his normal poops when he was on zignature though), waaayyyyy less gas and seems more lean and energetic. I was a little concerned at first that maybe he was constipated since he usually poops as much as my 45# am. staffie mix but the other positive signs point to the high quailty of this food. This food is definitely a keeper. Nice work Chewy! Please continue to make this and keep up the good work.

  • My dog is not crazy about this food!

    By on

My dog eats this after he gets really hungry, but is not crazy about this food. If he is not that hungry he will leave it all together & I have to throw it away (which is happening more & more as we use this up). The pork flavor has pineapple pieces, that he hates, and leaves all over my kitchen floor. The actual food does not look nearly as good as the picture.....but, what else is new, right? Disappointed, and cannot recommend.

  • Not my flavor

    By on

All the reviews I read their dogs loved it, and so I thought I would give it a try as my girl is a finicky eater. The price was right, buy 1 get 1 free, so I gave it a try. My girl didn't like it, so that's why I gave it only one star. It looks appealing, but it does have a stronger smell and maybe that made it difficult to get past her nose. I will keep looking for a food that she will eat. This obviously is not her favor.
