  • High quality food with some prep involved

    By on

This food is human-grade, as frankly all dog food should be. It meets all the limitation requirements my rescue putz has: no fowl, no white potato, no gluten and no dairy. It meets my standards for quality of ingredients. The food looks exactly like it does on the bag...like crumpled pork and veggies. The only thing that holds me back from the last star is this does take some forethought when using as a food. You have to remember to remove it from the freezer, scoop out what's needed, place the bag back in the freezer and wait twenty minutes or so for the food to no longer be frozen before feeding. You can keep it in the fridge, but it will only last days there. My dog is small, so that is impractical This food is human-grade, as frankly all dog food should be. Larger dogs would be more costly to feed with this food, but I still say it's worth it if you can. … more

  • ***TWO PAW'S UP***

    By on

I can't believe how fast my frenchie can fly to the kitchen when dinnertime comes! He LOVES this food and WOW what a difference it has made with his stools, nice and firm and his scratching has subsided and it's good for him! Chewy, you hit a homerun with Tylee's frozen dinners and your BOGO makes it so I can feed this as a complete meal for him, this is why my guy is giving it his two paws up! Thank You, Chewy! :)

  • The old guy loves this food!

    By on

Over the years my large mixed breed old man became allergic to poultry based dog food on top of the fact that his normal brand discontinued the food that had glucosamine and chondroitin in it. I decided that I would try something new and fresh. I was putting the supplements in myself anyway so why not. I got this food on a bogo to try and he loves it. 6 years old with a mind of a 1 year old with puppy ADD and he eats this food like it's going to run away. I think Tylee made a winner!

  • Something different for my dogs

    By on

All four of my dogs love this food. Even the pickiest of our dogs will wolf it down. The only downside is my chi refuses to eat the veggies in this, which are part of the balanced nutrition in this food. If your dog does not like veggies, then this food might not be for them, unless you use it as an occasional treat or a topper. This is because they won't be getting a balanced meal without consuming the veggies. She ate this for several weeks yet still refused the veggies every time. I guess if I get this again for her, it'll either be mixed in with other food or only a treat meal. I wish the veggies were ground up into the food, because I feel dogs would get more nutrition out of this. Especially All four of my dogs love this food. Especially picky dogs like my little girl, who refuse every, single veggie and fruit on the planet. If they were to start offering such a food, I would totally switch all my dogs to it, as long as they thought it was as yummy as this one. I am considering purchasing this as an occasional treat or a topper for my dogs, or maybe even putting one or two of them on it. I just wish I could put my chi on it, since she was getting bored of her freeze dried dog food. I really wanted something different for her, especially since it's human grade. I'm still impressed with this food, even though my chi thinks it could use improvements. She did love the meat in it. Wish Tylee's would consider offering something similar, but instead with the veggies ground up with the meat. I would still recommend this, as long as your dog actually eats the veggies. My little chi either eats around them or spits them out. … more

  • Bought it because of food allergies

    By on

My JRT has food allergies, so my vet suggested that I shop around for grain-free. I have a very picky eater on my hands. She loved the PORK recipe, and so did my Rattie, but neither would touch the Chicken recipe. Turned their noses up and walked away; I think the smell had a lot to do with it, because is was kind of a nasty smell. The pork, actually smelled (to me anyway) like Chinese food.

  • My babies LOVE it!

    By on

The ingredients are what originally drew me in. Then I realized it was human grade, huge bonus. I bought it when it was on sale for buy 1 get 1 free, just because it is a little pricey, but again the ingredients are amazing so it's a million percent worth it. I will absolutely be being it again, regardless if it's on sale or not. I have 2 rescue pups from the same little and my boy has always been underweight and is a very submissive eater. With Tylee's he will stay in the kitchen and wait for me to serve him and I can even walk by him, pet him, or stay in the kitchen with him!!!

  • They love it!!!

    By on

I have 5 rescued dogs....they range from ages from 3 1/2 to 17 years old. I have tried MANY MANY different kinds of food for them over the years, even making it for them myself from fresh chicken, rice and veggies. They ALL LOVE LOVE this food.... I do mix it half and half with a good grade of kibble (if there is such a thing), with the Tylee's. I'll never go back to making it myself, this is too easy and they like it too much!

  • 2 paws up...

    By on

all 4 of my pups approved of the Pork recipe but spit out the veggies. Because the veggies were kind of big I'm not sure I'll buy this again since picking up the spit out veggies is not my idea of a good time. Loved the pork pieces, though - not fans of the beef or turkey. I would like this to be redesigned and blend up the veggie pieces smaller or integrate them in with the pork.

  • My fur baby is happy with this food

    By on

My fur baby loves this food. He is finicky so I am use to buying food that he starts but after once will not touch again. That was not the case here. I bought four types and rotate them, and my baby inhales every meal. He does prefer from freezer and allowed to defrost, more than defrosted and kept in fridge. Only down is sometimes there is ground up with chunks so it looks like dust.

  • Miss Picky likes it!

    By on

But likes the "traditional" vibe of the chicken (with the peas, celery, carrots, apples) better than she does the "Polynesian" vibe of the pork (with pineapple, broccoli, carrots, kale). That said, this brand is the first she has eaten with NO FUSS in a month and a half since getting her! I've been having to cook separate meals for her! Oh what we do for our fur babies! ;-)
