I adopted my puppy from a breed specific rescue and this was the food he was on. I’d never heard of it before. I did online research and the Naturals line formulas comes well recommended and ranks better than the lines that aren’t Naturals. So I bought this bag. No GI distress. I’ll see how it goes as he grows up. It’s much less than the Blue Buffalo Wilderness lines which is nice. But it really is about quality of diet. That’s what I’d had used for many years.

I slowly transitioned my puppy to this food & he became extremely ill, to the point of needing veterinary attention. The manufacturer didn’t offer a refund unless I purchased trash bags or zip locks to put it all in & ship it back, a major inconvenience considering I have to pay for vet bills caused by their food. Do NOT recommend. The price isn’t worth it.

We have a 5-month-old puppy who developed diarrhea after eating this food. The symptoms started shortly after he began eating it, and it took about 48 hours after stopping the food for his stool to return to normal. As soon as we switched to a different food, he improved. Based on our experience, something may be wrong with this product, and the company should look into it, especially since puppies have sensitive digestive systems.

I’ve taken aAs a vet tech, I’ve gotten to know dog food and they’re pros and cons a little bit better over the years. I’ve taken a special interest in nutrition especially since finding out my GSP had a food allergy to chicken. After doing some research and having him on diamond naturals adult for a while, I decided to make the switch to puppy because it had whole lamb as the first ingredient and more calories per cup, which means I can feed him better ingredients and also make the bag last longer. I have never had issues with diamond naturals and actually chose to switch to diamond from Puro on after having multiple issues with the Purina brand.

We brought our rescue pup home this summer and transitioned him over the course of a month from the shelter food to diamond large puppy after finding a week and a half was too quick for him and was giving him an upset stomach. Because we’re still getting used to his habits and he ate it happily we finished the first bag out. His vet said it could just take time for him to settle in, or it could be the formula, but suggested sticking with this food and giving him pumpkin a couple times a week. We just got a new bag and his stomach is even worse with it, so we’ll need to either return it or give it to a shelter. Our other dog is on diamond adult small breed and does great with it, but this food seems to be problematic for our big guy. I’ve had him tested for parasites and all labs done, they’ve come back completely clean each time. Wish it would have worked out for him.

Product good, opening bad sucks

Our pup loves the food but the opening the bag sucks. There’s really no good way to open it and have it easily resealed. Diamond needs to improve the bag.
