Are all ingredients used to make this food from the usa? And if not where are they from?

This formula uses some ingredients that are not USA sourced, like flaxseed and barley, both which originate in Canada and lamb and lamb meal from New Zealand and Australia, potato protein from Germany and dried chicory root from Belgium. There are ingredients such as folic acid and taurine that can only be sourced out of China.

How many cup is in the 6lb bag?

There will be approximately 4 cups per pound of kibble. The 6 pound bag will have close to 24 cups, the 20 pound bag close to 80 cups and the 40 pound bag close to 160 cups.

why the does your food have Papaya in it.

Papaya and papaya enzymes are healthy ingredients to add to dog food. Papaya adds sweetness as well as vitamins and fiber to a dog's meal.

We have three 5 month old puppies, 2 German shepherds and "potcake" mixed breed from the islands (we adopted her in April). Had an issue with a name brand pet food that put one of them in the hospital overnight at a large cost. Contacted so called "name brand", they decided it wasn't their fault, even though all 3 pups vomited after eating their food. I always had good luck with Diamond, found this food, tried it. They all love it, have not had any stomach issues. Learned my lesson the hard way, stick with product I can trust!

My puppy was on Diamond Naturals with the breeder and we switched him to Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy under 2. Purina was fine, but our pup ( Euro-American Great Dane) was not putting on weight proportionally to his height and was hungry a lot more. So we switched him back to Diamond Naturals and he not only LOVES it, but he is filling out and his coat is beautiful. Highly recommend for the giants that just can't seem to eat enough! We'll be sticking with Doamon Naturals for the long haul.

We have a 8 month old Cane Corso Named Agatha . We have been feeding diamond naturals since we brought her home at 8 weeks . We love it for our girl . She has always kinda just grazed throughout the day . We put the recommended portion for age and weight in every morning and she eats throughput the day and it’s gone by dinner . I love the ingredients with the lamb and berries and no corn at all is a big plus for me . Agatha is a high energy pup and the protein in this food has been more than efficient for her. And her growth on this food is right on par with her breed standards . her coat is smooth soft and shiny, and her stool is solid and easy to clean and only goes twice a day . We are bringing home another Corso puppy in a couple weeks so I researched some other foods and nothing on the market made to big of a difference to justify a switch so we will keep feeding diamond naturals. 100% satisfied with the food

My puppy Balakk is a 3 1/2 month Turkish Kangal. Last week at the Vets Office He weighed in at 51.2 lbs. Because Balakk is a giant breed puppy I'm using care to grow him very slowly. He's on the thin side on purpose. Before I purchased Diamond Naturals Balakk was eating Nutra Source at $50.00 for 30 lbs. The problem was Balakk's stools were loose and in 24 hours he pooped at least 6-7 times. After getting used to Diamond Natural, Balakk's stools are the right texture and only poops with no strain or problem 2-3 times in the same 24 hours. He gobbles up his food, I feed the same amount and it totals out to 200 calories less per 24 hours and Balakk's maintained the perfect weight ( according to my Vet) with less calories. That goes to show you that it's not how much you feed your puppy, it's what you feed your puppy. Not the best part of this story but it helps that I pay $5.00 bucks less per bag and get 10 pounds more. Go ahead, give this dogfood a try.

I’ve taken a special interest in nutrition especially since finding out my GSP had a food allergy to chicken. After doing some research and having him on diamond naturals adult for a while, I decided to make the switch to puppy because it had whole lamb as the first ingredient and more calories per cup, which means I can feed him better ingredients and also make the bag last longer. I have never had issues with diamond naturals and actually chose to switch to diamond from Puro on after having multiple issues with the Purina brand.

I researched over 50 brands of dog food (excluding any that's first ingredients were corn or by-product with no meat) and this BY FAR was the cheapest per pound that meets the needs of my large breed puppy! Not only that, but ALL the ingredients are great (not limited to just the first 3 either). In addition to that, they have probiotics, glucosamine, Chondronitin, no soy, no corn, no wheat, no animal by-products! Manufactured right here in the US. This food also meets the nutritional percentages needed for my large breed German Shepherd puppy (particularly: calcium%, phosphorus%, calcium to phosphorus ratio, lower fat). Gets our pup's approval--she loves this food! She was on a Natural Balance limited ingredient lamb & brown rice food before (pretty similar) and strongly prefers the taste of this food! We actually use her kibble as training treats because she likes it so much!

I have had Yogi for about a month now, the difference in his coat is amazing! Before, when he arrived he was constipated and has very dull fur. His breeders are a small family farm that have puppies once-twice a year. I made an immediate switch in food because I had a family member’s German Shepard on it, his coat is amazing! After a day I noticed with mixed kibble of his old food with new food, Yogi was able to use the bathroom easier. After two weeks his stomach was doing a lot better. He gained an appetite as well. Now comparing his before and after there is no question how amazing this food is for your growing pup. The difference is so noticeable. He is constantly getting complements on how handsome he is! He has had a recent vet check and the vet said to continue his food regimen, he as at an ideal weight. Within 3-4 weeks he’s gained 10lbs in between vaccines. He hasn’t had any yeast issues as doodles are prone to it. This Newfypoo loves this brand! Would definitely endorse.

Same with this brand, however I have found that if I add fiber in the form of coconut flour(2 tsp. a day) and pureed carrots with 2 tblsp. of coconut oil, her stool is solid both morning and night. Still soft in the afternoon though. I think because she plays so hard and her body heats up and she drinks so much water. By night she is settled and that late evening duty is solid again. Her morning duty is always solid. So all in all this food has been the best bargain for her. Also, the Lamb has helped her itching to almost completely stop. When she was eating chicken she scratched all day long. I just wish it didn't have ANY chicken in it at all. Thanks Diamond on behalf of my crazy pup! On Diamonds website the ingredient label states DL-Methionine is in the food, but here at Chewy it is not there. I wish I knew which was correct. I want it in the food for my girl!

This current bag is almost gone & when I went to feed him today I noticed a large clump in the bottom. Looking closer I could see that it was mold! It is lining the bag so I imagine there is even more underneath that is not visible. Not only disgusting & unacceptable but potentially fatal. This bag was just delivered on 1/21 & kept in my kitchen. Chewy offered me a replacement bag & then a refund when I refused but I’m really disappointed that Chewy didn’t take this more seriously. We are talking about mold in PUPPY food. It needs to be investigated before it kills someone’s puppy!

I have an 5 month old Irish wolfhound pup who, for unknown reasons, began to show signs of his front feet turning out. He was originally on an all stages large breed food but, after consultation with our vet, we collectively decided to put him on this diamond puppy food for large breed and man are we glad we did! In a span of one month feeding him this recipe, he has made tremendous improvement with his leg turn in and his gait and movement is almost back to normal! He has had solid stools, which he did not have on the old food, and appears just generally healthier! I have switched all three of my dogs now to this brand, senior for my elderly lady and adult life stages for my middle ages shepherd mix. They are doing great with the transition Diamond all the way!
