Questions & Answers

16 Customer Questions

I would like to know if my door is smaller than 39inches across...where does all the excess go? How does it fit for doors 34 inches wide? Thank you!
Answer by ChewyApr 23, 2019
The excess mesh can either hang to the sides of the door opening, or the panels can be cut to fit specific areas.

can bottom mesh be cut if its too long?
Answer by ChewyMay 15, 2020
The panels can be cut to fit specific areas if it proves to be too long.

How does this attach to a wood threshold? Does it need a metal door in order to work? Thanks
Answer by ChewyMay 17, 2019
This screen door has adhesive strips that attach to your doorway.

Does the bottom of the screen also attach to to the ground, of does it hang loose
Answer by ChewyMar 24, 2020
The mesh screen door does not fasten to the ground to allow easy entry and exit through doorway.

Tried something new

The dogs are constantly wanting inside then outside, then inside again, sometimes just standing between. So I chose this screen door to put in place of a slider. It worked well once I taught the dogs how to use with without being scared(pitbulls, amirite?) for all of one week. One side ripped completely from bottom to top right next to the magnets out of nowhere. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that it wasn't sewn evenly and was just a defective product. I will repurchase, or find a similar product to replace it since I loved using it for that week and not having to get up to open the door every 3 minutes.

Second purchase

The first one I purchased was very sturdy, truly heavy duty and very well constructed. Moved and it got lost. The binding that was used all around the screen the fold was not secured correctly. This one very cheap binding was used instead of the sturdy webbing that was used on the first. It was not even constructed evenly. Poor material and workmanship, both were priced the same amount. It will do until I find a better one.

kind of works but mostly doesn’t

It is not ideal for metal doors as there are obviously magnets. Every time the door is closed they attach to it (which again is obvious, that is how magnets work). However, my biggest issue it the quality. It wasn’t even up for a week before it started pulling away from the door and unraveling along the sides and bottom. For the price, it is not something I wish to buy every few weeks.

better than expected

i bought one last week, at the price i didnt expect much but was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked and looked. i bought another one today just in case they werent available when this one wears out. if you have a wooden door frame i suggest using a staple gun instead of the adhesive patches and pins. make sure your magnets are lined up and you can take up the slack by folding pleats at the top. leave a little slack or it will be too tight to walk through. if you install it correctly it will close correctly. it does look a little flimsy so dont know if it will have a long life so bought a spare.

Magic Mesh screen

Love these! Used them all year last year! Had to get more than one because my dogs like to wrestle IN the doorway. Keeps birds and other critters out too!

Motor home screen door

While too big for a motorhome door it can be modified and allow our Bullie to go in and out.

Rips off molding/paint but so far works great

We just put it up today, but so far it works amazing! Fits perfect over my single door, and my lab/collie runs right through it (it opens/closes). Hoping it will keep bugs out but she can go in and out as she pleases (we didn’t use the tacks, just The adhesive) . The adhesive is very strong- we had to move it and it’s clearly pulling up some molding/paint when we move it. But definitely worth it if it continues to be useful

Doorway mesh

Awesome! This doorway mesh has eliminated my fly problem. And it took no time at all for my dogs to learn to come and go through it. I can now leave my back door open for them to go out when they want, without having to open the door for them every time.

Not that great for large dogs

I have seen people successfully use these simply as screens, but this lasted maybe 2 weeks before it started coming off and coming apart with our dog (~55 pounds at the time). We finally just took it down and pitched it.
