This little camera gives a HUGE piece of mind for anyone who is nervous about leaving their furbabies alone like I am. Now that I have a bigger apartment, I may invest in one more of these little gems to put in the bedroom. Highly recommended. Would also make a great, inexpensive gift.
I use this primarily to check on my dog while at work. After purchasing I was surprised to learn it will also alert me if it hears a smoke alarm, my main concern with leaving her alone. It can also distinguish between people and pets, although her brindle pattern will occasionally confuse it. Overall I am extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend this camera.
I love these cams (I have 4 of them) but for some reason, one of them just... stopped working the other day. Not sure what that's about but very disappointing to say the least. Would love a replacement that won't quit on me!
I love Wyze cameras! I have two in different parts of the house. They have high quality video both daytime and nighttime. The setup is fast and the app is easy to use. When I’m away from home I get so worried about my kitties. I love being able to quickly open the app and confirm everyone is ok.
I bought two cameras to get different views of the cat's room, which is also the basement. One camera is amazing color and black & white - glorious pictures and videos of my boys (also, I can talk to them via the camera which is amazing). Camera Two works on and off. When it is working the picture is not as sharp as Camera One and my voice sounds weird on it, but it does let me keep an eye on them most of the time, so I still love it.
Inside this camera is amazing. Especially if you upgrade like I did where it tells a difference between “person”, “pet”, and “motion”. But. Outside it doesn’t do so well at least for detecting pets. I use this as an inside camera but this morning my cat ran outside into the woods so I set the camera up to watch outside hoping I’d get notified when she comes back. But it didn’t notify me. I had to look at the cameras live footage randomly to notice she was out infront of the camera. It detected her as just a “motion” so it didn’t notify me she was out there rolling around infront of the camera. I think its bc it gets shadows mixed up with the pet. But everywhere outside if you have trees you’ll have shadows moving. So if you’re wanting to use this outside to watch your pets I wouldn’t recommend but if watching ppl outside it’s great and inside it does great.
I absolutely love this little cam. The clarity is awesome! Need to order a mini sdcard so I can record. The only thing I’m not sure about, is when I use the speak function, the dog looks at it really weird. So I don’t know if it’s coming in as squawking or if she can actually hear what I’m saying.
Amazing for the price. App is super easy to navigate. Video is super clear on this. I can keep and eye on my bearded dragon from work now. Probably won't get much work done haha
I was really impressed with the picture quality and the ease of setup, for such a reasonable price too.
I'm a special needs dog, adopted after nearly two years of living in a shelter. I've never known a happy, safe home. So I panic easily, am super-glued to my new Mom, and am terrified of strangers. I need all the help my Mom and her friends can give me! Mom thought this inexpensive pet cam would help her monitor my comfort (or lack of it) when she's away making quick errands. She followed the instructions for set-up---twice---and both times it failed to connect with either of the two internet connections in my new home. She was sent to a YouTube video which shows the set-up going smoothly and efficiently. But that is not what happened for her. She did everything right, both times, but both times it failed to connect. The YouTube video which appeared after a second fail referenced a "support team" without providing a link. After two hours of fiddling, Mom is frustrated and I think she perhaps needs to help herself to my anti-anxiety drug to calm down. Or maybe a long walk with treats for courageous behavior around strangers, which always works for me. At any rate, she needs to calm down before contacting the "support team" so she doesn't treat them like someone once did to me. We are both really, really frustrated and insulted that there is no link for support on the instructions or in the YouTube video. But she's told me she'll try again tomorrow, 10 days after receiving this camera which, so far, is completely useless. She cries sometimes because she really wants to help me, but is scared to leave me alone because of my panic attacks.
