What is the width of the bottom of bowl? I have raised feeding station for my german shepherd and beagle. Will this bowl fit into the station. My current stainless bowl is approx. 5.25" across on the bottom and 6.5" wide at top. (with rim it is 7.5" wide at top)

Which is better? Which will slow down a pointed snout dog more? The smaller bowl that is full or the larger bowl that is half full?
Answer by ChewyJan 26, 2019
It's possible that your dog will consume both quantities at the same slow rate regardless of the bowl size. It's recommended to control portions if you feel the bowl's design isn't slowing your pet down enough.

where is this made at
Answer by ChewyDec 06, 2018
All of Mr. Peanut's stainless steel products are sourced and manufactured in India.

Is this bowl one continuous piece of stainless steel or does the centre dome come off?
Answer by ChewyNov 21, 2018
This stainless steel bowl has a raised dome that is not removable at this time.

It is seamless!!

Got this for my Pug because her original slow-feed bowl had rusted edges. This one is bigger than the other one, so my Pug was somewhat insecure of it for two days. Would sit in front of it and just stare LOL until she realized it was just a bigger bowl and now she is as happy as can be :)... I love that it's just ONE piece molded the way it is and not something that was inserted like the other one, so I know this one will not rust!

Rusted around edges

I bought this to slow down my dogs eating. Although I did look at the measurements, it is bigger than I thought it would be. I have only used it for 1 week and it is rusted around the blue rubber edge already. I was going to donate it since it is too big for my dog, but I will not do that since it is rusted. Also, most bowls the rubber edge comes off so you can wash the bowl, this one does not and since you can’t properly dry it, it is rusting.

Channel is too large

My small dog can easily fit his mouth in the channel of the bowl so instead of slowing down his eating it causes him to gobble up his food even quicker as he goes round and round the bowl. And he's taking in more air in the process which doesn't help the cause either. I would recommend this bowl for a larger dog-mine is a 13 lb. Terrier Mix.

Not for my frenchie

I’ve had this for over a year. It is easy to clean and doesn’t slide when Jasper eats from it. However, it does not slow him down. He still gobbles up his foot very quickly and then throws it up. Other than that it is a good bowl and dishwasher safe.

Nice design

It does slow her down a little. She used to finish her bowl under a minute now it takes her about three. I like that it is one solid piece and easy to clean. It's bigger than I thought it would be.

Really Slowed Down our “Hoover”

We have a 65-lb Standard Poodle, a 45-lb rescued Border Colley / Australian Shepard mix, and an 18-lb Miniature Schnauzer. The Colley/Shepherd mix would “vacuum” down her food then try to eat the other 2 dogs’ food also. Using this bowl slows her down enough to give the other 2 dogs a chance to finish eating at about the same time that she does. We especially like that this bowl is Stainless Steel so can be washed in the dishwasher when needed.

New dog bowl

I wasn't as impressed with this as I thought. The bowl is bigger than it looks and marks up easily. Dissappointed.

Mr. Peanut's Slow-Feed Stainless Steel Dog Bowl

I got this particular product because our other slow feed bowl was plastic & a few of our cats developed sores on their chins from the bacteria that stays on the bowl & we were told to switch to stainless steel. So far everyone has no more sores

No more food gulping

It holds about a cup of dry dog food, so others might need a larger one for big dogs. But this works great for my 75 lb. lab. It has slowed her eating tremendously. She actually chews her food now. I should have gotten this years ago.

Great slow-feed bowl

Heavy, shiny stainless that hasn’t spotted or rusted. Non-slip ring grips well on doormat and tile. Holds plenty of food for 55 lb dog (1 c kibble + some canned + fresh foods, like yogurt/veggies + supplements + meds + water.) Slow-feed, non-raised, moist food helps avoid bloat. *For those who said it doesn’t hold enough for smaller dogs, may I gently suggest investing in higher quality food. (Not only healthier, but less poo.)
