This camera has given me nothing but problems. Sometimes it randomly makes extremely loud feedback noises and often disconnects. Now, it won’t even power on anymore. My Wyze Cam V3 on the other hand consistently works without issue.
Slow to load and delayed. I thought it was my internet but after purchasing another camera I realized it was not. Good enough to get by but there are better cameras out there.
We have had a pretty good experience with this camera. We bought it to monitor what our dog is doing while we are out, but we can also speak to him if necessary. It can scan the room and you can control that through the app, and it will also send you notifications of any movement if you want it to. There are also more security options if you purchase subscriptions with Wyze, but you are not obligated to do that. The only issues (minor) are that 1) connection sometimes is not great depending on the phone's location I think more so than the location of the camera, and 2) there is a delay in sound, with about a 5-10 second delay both ways, which gives it a 4 star for me. Otherwise, this a practical investment and I recommend it over the more expensive brands that just seem un-necessary.
Support response every 24/48 hours with another step that doesn't work. Phone support is on indefinite hold. Guess only way at this point to use the product is to create a new email just for this stupid camera... Makes no sense. Wyze is a dumpster fire company that takes your money and runs without providing a service.
I ordered 2 of these because I wanted to be able to check on my pets when I wasn't home. I decided to go with this because of the Pan and Tilt features. I wasn't sure how much viewing area it would cover. I did not need to use that feature because it covered the areas I needed without needing to adjust it. My main complaint is that one of the cameras was not well put together. The casing was partially off, but I was able to push it mostly back together. My other complaint is that it randomly restarts, and sometimes when it comes back online, the camera angle has changed. I am not using the paid service, so I cannot review that. It said it came with a free trial of it, but I could not figure out how to get it to work. I also, have not gotten a micro SD card for it yet. Just using the app on my phone to check in has been all I've needed.
Read through the reviews before deciding to give this camera a chance. Had one of our cats urinating in inappropriate area, but could not figure out which one. Set up the camera to monitor the area, and no accidents for a week. The camera was knocked over, and found urine the next morning. The cycle continued another week, no accidents, camera knocked over, urine. Also discovered the camera would not pick up motion more than 2-3 foot from its location. So reconfiugred the area so the camera cannot be knocked over, and we wait to identify the culprit . . .
We purchased two cameras in hopes to stop our destructive 1 year old puppy from doing further damage to our home. We desperately wanted to avoid crating him. So we installed the cameras, checked the sound, made sure it all worked the night before work. They have a great picture, and cover a lot of area because they turn 360. However, when we left the house the next day, and turned on the cameras, the pup was chewing my rug. Tried yelling through the camera. Nothing. Not even a “what was that?” from the dogs. We got home from work that day only to find that speaker was not working. Had to restart the cameras. And then the speakers worked again. However, yesterday I had the same issue with the speaker again. It’s frustrating to watch your house being destroyed in real time, and not be able to do anything about it. Over all the cameras made me MORE anxious. Pup will be getting crated moving forward. This is a great camera for someone who just wants to check in, and see what their (GOOD) dogs are up to! Lol
My son moved off to college and I needed something I could check on the dog since he will be home alone much longer. I didn't want to spend a ton of money. The WYZE pan tilt camera works pretty well for the price. I bought 2 of them. One for upstairs and one for downstairs, depending on where the pup is. The video quality is ok. Nothing great, but does its job. I can look at the dog and can talk through the camera to him. I also elected to buy SD cards to go with them. To protect my privacy, I selected no notifications and to record only to the SD card. The camera will only record to the cloud if you have notifications selected. Notifications are a movement or sound has been identified. So now for my cameras, I just turn them on when I need to and shut them off when done via my phone app.
We kept coming home to find our dog had slobbered all over his kennel and himself but couldn’t understand why. We bought this camera as a last resort so we can see him while we are gone. It has been awesome to see him, hear him, and be able to talk to him while we are gone! Great quality picture and sound. I like how it turns in a full circle and can point almost straight down to give us a view of everything.
This is a good deal for these cameras. The night view is nice and you can toggle to turn it off (helped me, I have one in the window sill to face the front door and turning off the night view got rid of the glare on the glass). The loading can be a little slow when you open the app to check, but it has two way audio and you can control the view from your phone. It does have a monthly subscription price but it's fairly reasonable ($20 per year per camera). the power cords are a bit short. You can put a microSD card in them for recording, though there is a limit on recording time (12 seconds I think, not sure if you can pay for longer).I am happy with these cameras overall
