    packaging sucks

    By on

Pros: My dog loves it (this carries a lot of weight, hence 4 stars) Cons: - Chewy’s shipping packaging sucks (SO MUCH STYROFOAM). - it takes 2+ days to fully thaw in the refrigerator. Though my dog doesn’t seem to mind if they’re still a little frozen. - once thawed, the individual packaging of each medallion leaked blood, sometimes a LOT. The packaging was inconsistent and sometimes seemed to not be sealed properly. I eventually decided it was best to thaw them in a ziplock bag because it was leaking blood all over my refrigerator. - my pup is a 45lb boxer pit mix. She loves the medallions so much that she’ll swallow them whole so I have to break them apart for her.

My dogs LOVE THIS FOOD! I feel good about feeding them this quality raw food. It's easy to feed. The only thing I don't like is the price. You get what you pay for.

    Dog Spit It Out

    By on

I normally feed my girl Natures Variety raw but Chewy was out of stock so I went with this brand. I liked how the patties are individually wrapped and the ingredients sound fantastic. Unfortunately by girl wouldn't eat it. She actually spit it out (I cut the patty up into bite sized chunks). While it didn't work for us, if your dog likes the taste it seems like a great choice.

    Dog loves them!

    By on

After the last legumes in dog food scare, I decided to do some serious research to keep my dog on a healthy food for her. Decided to go half raw, using frozen and freeze dried with no wonky ingredients. My dog eats these 3 oz. patties frozen, as soon as they go into her bowl she takes off with it and chows down. I just give her 2/day and dry kibble and freeze dried Raw. She's a happy healthy dog!

Food Is Great. Chewy Not So Much

    By on

My dog has food allergies and this food has worked best with him. I have been using it for a year now and it's obviously not cheap. Chewy, in the beginning, was fantastic. Now, at least every other shipment they are "out of stock" even when I had auto ship on (you knew the order was coming). I switched to beef to wait on the chicken to return and my dog immediately started itching again. The food is great but the company is not reliable.
