Keeps cat entertained to decrease unwanted scratching or clawing
My cat went nuts for this while I was assembling her cat tree. She put her paws on the scratching round and sat there, staring at me, then started playing with it!
The LED ball is really a great addition, and though she would have played with it anyways, I try to aim for toys that will wear her out more.
She's on my sleep schedule and similar eating schedule, so she winds down so I can sleep enough for work the next day.
She plays with this at least twice a day, and really loves it. These race track toys are a good classic cat toy, in my opinion.
This was for a dog!

I purchased this for an 11lb dog. I have another she plays with all the time with the regular white ball on the middle, this one however had a plastic ball that lights up. She can pull the ball out immediately but she cannot with the other one.I am very disappointed in this one and unfortunately will have to spend the money again and buy the one that actually works. If this was for a cat, I am sure it would work perfectly.
Happy kitties that leave the rug alone now

We’ve had a turbo scratcher since it was a prototype more than 16 years ago. It still works and looks very good for the age and amount of use, however after replacing the scratching pads for 16+ years one of the tabs broke off. I found this one on chewy.com and my feline friends couldn’t be happier. I like the little floor nubs to keep it from going all over the place on the hard floors, an improvement since the prototype. This even stopped one of our cats from using the rug. We replace the light up balls every now and again and the cardboard inserts quite a lot. Cats of all ages enjoy this. I would highly recommend this product.
Kitten Fun For Hours!

My fiancé and I recently adopted three kittens. I instantly thought of this toy due to a past cat loving it so much! The kittens agree, they think it's amazing! So much so I'm ordering another one! Kittens are 8 weeks (two black LH siblings) and 12 weeks old (tabby/white).
Favorite of my kitties!

They play and scratch it all throughout day. It is amusing for us to watch and the cats love it. They roll and scratch. One kitty will lay on tight other on left and hit the ball back and forth. I have another I bought last year but the ball was not lighted. They love the new ball. Thanks Chewy!
My cat loves this

I bought a discount version of this toy over a year ago and my cat mostly ignored it but I think that one was just poorly designed. So I decided to buy this one anyway. I figured my cat would bat the ball around once in a while and ignore the cardboard. Instead he plays with this more than any other toy. He tries to get the ball out of the track but he hasn't managed to do it yet. After owning it for a month he finally figured out that he can scratch on the cardboard. He still scratches on the carpet sometimes but he's more likely to use this this now. I wish I bought this sooner. My cat is a 2 year old neutered male.
Its different !

We have these scratcher toys around the house and the cats love them. This one is different because the ball lights up as they play with it. They were cautious at first and then started to enjoy it. Knowing my Cat Peanut I decided to order a replacement ball just in case.
She enjoys it

She still has not used the scratch pad a bit sad amount that’s hope she start using it rather than our couch, but she loves playing with the light ball. As reviews say, cat nip spray really worked. Keeps her entertained, happy with purchase.
Ball stays in place well.
He LOVES this toy!

I bought this toy for our new high-energy 6 wk old tabby kitten. He loved it from day 1 and still plays with it at 14 weeks old, now sometimes until he just falls asleep on it! I love that the ball also stays in the track & doesn't get lost, and our older cat will use the scratcher too.
Good for some cats maybe, but not mine.

My cat doesn't use this. The ball is heavy and cool looking, but my cat just isn't into it. The middle scratcher is difficult to remove, but not impossible. My cat doesn't use the scratcher either though. Well made, but just holds toys due to non-use.
