Keeps cat entertained to decrease unwanted scratching or clawing
Our kittens are not interested in scratch pads on the ground. We purchased this to help make them more interesting for them to explore. I love how well it is made. You can easily replace the scratch pads as they wear out. There are also tons of attachments you can put in the middle in addition to the star chaser in the track. My kittens still are not interested in the scratch pad itself, but they are very interested in everything else. Chewy has a great deal on this great product. I would highly recommend it!
My cats not really interested

As I said my two cats are not really into this toy although I thought that they would since it combines the light up ball plus the catnip scratching area and the younger cat does play with it some but the oler one does not but they both loved the one that has the three tiers with balls in each one. Nothing wrong with the toy though and most cats would love it, mine are just too spoiled I guess.
Bang for your buck!

I decided to order this product because it was cheaper on chewy than in any pet store I've been to. Both of my cats really enjoy the turbo scratcher. I was afraid that the flashing light on the ball would turn them off but they adore it- they even use it in the dark. I like that it includes a scratching component because it gives my cats more to do. Its essentially a two for one :)
I love this and recommend it to all cat parents.

I love this. The cats love to play with it, I don't have to go searching for lost balls under furniture, and they seem to also like the scratching insert as well. A little catnip in the middle and you're good to go. It's a great value as well, and it lasts, you just need to replace the cardboard scratcher. I've used it with the plain ball and the turbo. They love both. I do rescue and can have quite a number of cats here at one time, and mine has already lasted 12 years and is still going strong.
Loved it so much, had to buy two

I bought this for my three cats. They loved it so much I had to buy another one because they didn't want to share. They will actually sit or lay on it not allowing the others to play because they want it all to themselves. Money well spent for this cat toy/scratcher. Btw, my one year old never used any of the other scratchers but will use this one.
My 17 year old cat loved this!

After his brother of 17 years died our little kitty has seemed so lost and doesn't play much. We had a similar toy to this but he lost interest in it a few years ago. Because the ball lights up when it was moving he was immediately intrigued and started to play with it! We were thrilled. Highly recommend this toy.
Even the senior kitties love this

I have two older cats who are so jaded they think they've "been there, done that", until they saw this. They've played with this more than most of their other toys, especially when I put the Cyclone toy on the top, which fits perfectly in the center of the Star Chaser. I'm really glad I got this for them.
Cats LOVE it!

I've had cats for nearly 13 years now and have figured out that most cats just want to play with a crumpled up receipt, piece of string, or a cardboard box. This led to a noticeable lack of actual cat toys in my house over the last decade. Recently, I've noticed they have been getting bored and fighting with each other more than usual, so I wanted to get a toy that they could play with when I'm not around to entertain them. They LOVED IT. Immediately, they started to play with it, and now I see them on it at least once a day. The ball in it pops out every once in a while, but you just put it back in it's track and let them at it again. I still think a cardboard box is the best toy money can'tI've had cats for nearly 13 years now and have figured out that most cats just want to play with a crumpled up receipt, piece of string, or a cardboard box. My two fur babies love their Star Chaser. Besides batting the ball, they like to push the whole toy around. It has a place to anchor it down, but I chose not to. They will play with it for hours. My guys are strictly indoor kitties, so I am real happy about how much exercise they get playing with this.
This Thing Right Here

This is the only thing my cat will scratch even without catnip. I bought her a 6 ft cat tree that she wants nothing to do with. I had to buy multiple of these because of dogs but I will buy these for every room in my house!
