About Second Chance Animal Services

Second Chance Animal Services is a nationally recognized organization that provides innovative programs and services to help animals. They have been helping animals since 1999 and are a no-kill, non-profit charitable 501c3 organization. They have helped over 40,000 pets through adoption, low cost spay/neuter, subsidized veterinary care, community outreach, educational programs, training, a pet food pantry, and other services. In addition to their Adoption Center they operate three Community Veterinary Hospitals in North Brookfield, Springfield and Worcester, MA.  They have a unique innovative approach to helping animals that is revolutionizing animal welfare. Their goal is to keep pets out of shelters in the first place by providing services within the community. Their reach goes beyond MA and they help wherever they can. Their approach is to get to the root causes of animal suffering and provide the services where they are needed to help prevent homelessness, overpopulation, and suffering. They're one of only a handful of shelters across the country that are now leading animal welfare by providing subsidized veterinary care as one of the programs. This unique approach helps to keep pets from suffering in the community and providing lifesaving medical care.
