About Us
Our organization is committed to rescuing sighthounds in the West Texas Panhandle/New Mexico region. This area has a high turn out of sighthounds dumped out by hunters who in most instances arrive in poor health due to no medical care & poor nutrition.We strive to rehabilitate these dogs and move them in the next direction of a safe and caring home. All candidates for adoption must fill out an application & will be approved for adoption after a home visit & satisfactory home condition for our sighthounds is confirmed. A Place for Us Greyhound Rescue has had recognition as a 501c3 Nonprofit Charitable Organization since 1997. In 2020, 98% of its revenue provided direct care for Greyhounds under their custody. The group is manned completely by unpaid volunteers. APFUG considers every interested applicant. Lubbock serves as the group's central location. The adoption fee is $350 with a discounted fee for Lurchers, seniors, or dogs with special needs.Find Us
