About Us
Ahimsa Safe Haven is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit located in Onsted, MI. We are a forever home to cats with feline leukemia, abandoned small farm animals and aquatic life. We also rescue and rehome kittens. What does Ahimsa mean? Essentially, at the most basic level, ahimsa is the concept that we are all connected, and any harm done to others is harm done to oneself. We are unique because we rescue small farm animals from cruelty and slaughter situations. We also provide a forever home to cats with Feline Leukemia, that would have otherwise been euthanized just because they tested positive. We are big in adopting out rescued cats and kittens.
