About Us
Asheville Cat Weirdos Emergency Fund is a nonprofit designed to assist owners with pet retention. When people fall on hard times, often they have to sacrifice their pets health or may even have to surrender their pet to already overflowing shelters. We try to prevent that "worst case scenario" with our three main programs, all geared towards cats specifically, as our founder felt there were already enough dog programs in our area. The nonprofit consists of the Veterinary Assistance Program (which helps local cat owners pay veterinary bills), the ACW Cat Pantry which distributes food and cat litter to locals in need, and our grant-funded spay and neuter program which provides vouchers for loc...Find Us
