About Us

Atlantic County Canines is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit rescue based near Atlantic City, NJ. Despite being run daily by volunteers, we average 50 adoptions a year. Since 2003, we have dedicated ourselves to pulling at-risk animals from local shelters and rehoming them with the best possible families. We primarily deal with senior and special-needs animals, so we are very thorough in our adoption process to ensure those in our care are matched with humans who can meet and even exceed their individual needs. We knew going in that rescuing senior and special needs animals would be tough, but we believe even the hard cases deserve a happy ending. We are focusing on those with the least chance of being adopted under normal conditions. Someone has to advocate for the underdog. We love what we do, and we sincerely thank you for your support.
