About Us
Awesome Paws Rescue is a volunteer-based, no-kill rescue focused on saving dogs at risk of euthanasia in overcrowded Southern shelters. We coordinate and transport dogs from various southern states and bring them to Buffalo, where the dogs stay with foster families until they are adopted. Because we are a foster based organization, there is no shelter you can visit to see all the adoptable dogs. All of our rescues are getting reacquainted to “home life”, where they can receive individual attention and their personalities are given a chance to truly shine. Our adoption process includes an initial application. We call your vet if you've previously had pets. We verify pets are Up to date on vaccinations. Then we schedule a home visit to ensure the home is a safe place for a pet.
