About Us
Back Bay Mission meets the urgent needs of those suffering from poverty and its effects. All of our programs transform lives; helping a homeowner keep their home, mentoring a single mother as she plans her path out of poverty, or providing emergency assistance to someone whom is currently unhoused.
As a Community Health Worker, we provide many different programs & resources to our clients in order to bridge the gap between healthcare providers and those most in need of care. I started this project to help the underserved community care for their companion animals while living on the streets or in the process of re-gaining stability. Approximately 6-24% of unhoused individuals have a companion animal. Since it is common for many to prioritize their animal’s needs over their own, this program will allow our guests to focus more on their mental/physical health without having to sacrifice the love, comfort and security of their furry friends.
