About Us
Established in 2007, Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization staffed solely by volunteers devoted to the rescue of unwanted, abused, and homeless Bassets in Houston, TX, and surrounding regions. We take in Bassets from shelters or directly from owners who are unable or unwilling to care for them. We do not discriminate based solely on the dog's age, condition, or medical needs. Before adoption, we place the Bassets in loving foster homes where they are evaluated for temperament and behavior.
