About Us

B.A.R.C. is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization made up of a small group of volunteers in Boone County, WV (south of Charleston) We do not have a facility or shelter. We primarily rescue dogs from the local high kill Boone County dog pound as well as some animals from within the community who need immediate assistance. Most animals are sent to out of state rescues however, we do adopt to the community on occasion to qualified applicants. All dogs are required to be spayed/neutered before they will be adopted out. All rescues are possible through donations, adoptions, foster homes, rescues and volunteers.
