C.A.R.E. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals.
Our mission is to rescue as many adoptable animals from "death row" as we can properly care for, and we are committed to keeping pets safe, happy and healthy while they wait to be placed in a carefully screened forever home.
C.A.R.E. houses between 100-200 homeless animals in inspected and licensed facilities. At out location near Aurora, we have a 300+ acre sanctuary.
Our organization combines an aggressive spay/neuter program with a high volume adoption program while providing quality lifetime care for unadopted pets. All of our pets are spayed or neutered before being put up for adoption.
We network with and provide a rescue service for other shelters, ultimately reducing the kill-rate in Southwest Missouri.
We are not city or state funded, relying solely on the kindness and donations of the public to care for our animals. None of this would be possible without our supporters.
