About Us
Caring For Creatures was the first no-kill facility to open its doors in central Virginia. We are a not-for-profit, 501-c-3 foundation and have been in continuous operation since 1988. The sanctuary is located on 157 beautiful and secluded acres in Palmyra, Virginia. At any given time, there are 200 animals in residence. Each animal who comes to CFC is treated as an individual. The diets, medical care, and training are tailored for their individual needs. We take the responsibility of placing our animals into loving homes very seriously and it is always our goal to match our animals with the most compatible homes.
