Central Texas Dachshund Rescue was started in September of 2000. Our membership has grown yearly, providing more foster families and volunteers to help find loving, forever homes for our dachshunds.Unlike a shelter or humane society, our dogs are not in one central location, but spread throughout many foster homes across the state. We realize that this makes it difficult to 'come meet our dogs,' but we believe the one-on-one care our dachshunds receive is well worth the inconvenience.Most CTDR dogs come from Texas animal shelters where they are in danger of being euthanized.
