Cancer. Each year more than 6 million dog owners will hear that diagnosis about their beloved 4-legged companion. Charger was one of those dogs. Diagnosed with cancer at age 7 and given 6 months to live, he was enrolled in a clinical trial at the University of WI School of Veterinary Medicine. Chemotherapy treatments successfully kept him in remission for the next 6 years. Charger passed away at age 13 cancer free.
